Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

The job description of Activities Coordinator fitted me perfectly and brought me out of retirement; I did miss the social aspect of working life... Enriching resident’s lives through art & crafts coupled with a vibrant caring nature is me to at T. I have a passion to give our residents access to their own self-esteem and confidence. Re-gain, explore or enhance their quality of Winter Life. Share the tools to make each moment the best it can be and if, it's, not then let's explore why? My team buddy laughs with me when I recall or mention Golden/Platinum moments I've been blessed with. I witness them every day. Finding a way to give purpose to a day is a mission of mine and I do my very best for our resident family to gain that.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Flower Arranging
Gemma and Millie from Arrangements of Boughton Monchelsea store kindly donated a few flowers for our family residents to arrange and that’s exactly what they did.
The decision was to make small posies to give to our hard working staff as a small token of their thanks for everything they do.

Beauty Treatments
Our event, hosted by Kat from Tropic Skin Care and Beauty, was certainly a hit with our residents and staff.
Keith particularly enjoyed his hand massage, saying "Oh, that's lovely!"
Kat will be visiting us again. Would family members and friends prefer an event at the weekend?
Trip to the Farmer's Market!
Spring was in all her glory and the sun was shining. There’s no better time than to pop to Grafty Green Farmers Market to explore what they have on offer, have a chat and a good mug of tea.
Are we going again? The consensus was a resounding yes.
A Little Piece of Magic
Rene won't mind us saying that she was feeling 'out of sorts' so we asked, "what would help make your day?"
Reply... "a trip to Marks and Spencer’s" with the brightest smile you could ever imagine.
We granted her wish and coupled it with lunch at The Chiltern Hundreds Pub; a place she's always wished to go back to.
A huge thank you to the staff for looking after us.
Pamper time with Millie
Pamper time with Millie.
Millie is a young volunteer that visits us once a week to spend time with our resident family.
Millie decided she would love to do a pamper session; out came the coconut infused pamper gloves to get those hands all soft and ready for a coat of paint on the nails too.
Sylvia's reaction was priceless, putting on the pamper glove ... "gosh it's cold and slippery" she said with a chuckle.
Thank you, Millie. You are such an air of inspiration to all young people.
Jean's 100th Birthday!
We were honoured to be able to celebrate Jean's 100th Birthday.
Knowing Jean loves a Cowboy, Western films and music, we pulled out all the stops and surprised Jean with a real life Cowboy delivering her birthday cake whilst she was enjoying a special luncheon in our dining room with her family!
Jean's face was priceless and the family reaction golden.
Our thanks go to Andy (our Western crazy Gardener aka cowboy) for stepping in and being a good sport also to Rafael (chief) for the wonderful 100th Birthday cake made especially for Jean.
