Activities at Ross Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Carly

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Carly, and I’m proud to be the Activities Coordinator here at Ross Court. I’m passionate about bringing joy, stimulation, and a sense of community to our residents through a wide variety of engaging and meaningful activities.

With a background in the community, I love creating experiences that cater to everyone’s interests—whether that’s music, arts and crafts, games, exercise, themed events, or trips out. My goal is to make every day fulfilling and to ensure that all our residents feel valued, involved, and connected.

I’m always open to new ideas and love working closely with residents and their families to tailor activities that reflect personal hobbies and preferences. Seeing smiles, hearing laughter, and being part of so many special moments is what makes my role so rewarding.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Getting out and about

We love getting out and about on our mini bus!

Some of our residents today enjoyed a trip to Hereford Cathedral.

We loved looking around the cathedral and seeing the beautiful windows and how stunning it is! We all took a second to light a candle and a moment to reflect. We were even lucky enough to enjoy some delicious refreshments in the sunshine.

It was a great morning had by all.

International Women's Day

We wanted to celebrate and treat all the amazing women at Ross Court.

We started the day off by going around to all our female residents and giving them an individual gift box filled with little goodies .

We then celebrated with an afternoon tea with a selection of homemade goodies made by our fabulous chefs.

Happy St David's Day

Happy St. David's Day!

We have been busy celebrating St David's Day at Ross Court Ross. It was such a great opportunity to get dressed up and celebrate everything to do with Wales.

The day was filled with Welsh themed arts and crafts, some traditional Welsh food and of course a visit from one of our brilliant entertainers Eddie who was brought up in Wales.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us!

Ladies that Lunch!

We have been busy out and about on the Mini Bus recently at Ross Court.

We were lucky enough to be able to take some of our lovely ladies to the Royal Hotel for lunch.

It’s safe to say that everyone had a lovely time and the food was great. Thank you to all the Staff at The Royal Hotel, we will definitely be back!

Burns Night Celebrations

At Ross Court we have been celebrating the Scottish tradition Burns Night.

We had the very talented Simon join as he showcased his talent playing the Bag Pipes.

This definitely blew our residents away as they enjoyed the Scottish tradition with a whisky dram and of course we couldn't let the day pass without the very traditional "Neeps and Tatties"

It was a brilliant afternoon enjoyed by all

National Activities Provider Week
