Activities at Rose Water Place Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Georgia Williams

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.

I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator.  I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling.  I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.

During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Rose Water Place Care Home

A sunny winters day!

On a sunny winters day, we get our coats on and thoroughly enjoy a walk around our beautiful garden, followed by a hot drink with the sun on our faces.

National Lego Day

Langley park nursery joined us for National Lego Day, where we built towers and coloured in the children’s favourite Lego characters. The children were telling the residents what colours to use and even put googley eyes on their characters. Our residents love it when the children come to visit.

Her wish was our command.....

One of our lovely residents has recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

On asking what she would like to do for her birthday and she replied 'pottery'.  Her wish was our command...

Elvis Presley’s 90th Birthday

On Wednesday our residents celebrated what would have been Elvis Presley’s 90th birthday. Lots of our residents are big Elvis fans and love his music. We had a fantastic day listening and singing to his hits, finding out about his early life and what influenced him and watching old Elvis movies, he was such an incredible talent.

New Year Resolutions!

As it is bitterly cold outside, the team and residents sat together and decided to write their New Year resolutions.

New Year with a Bang!

Residents, families, friends and staff celebrating 2025 like no other. London fireworks and New York ball drop have nothing on us! Looking forward to another year of life enrichment.
