Activities at Rose Water Place Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Georgia Williams

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.

I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator.  I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling.  I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.

During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Car Boot Sale

Rose Water Place care home residents and staff raised funds for Barchester Healthcare Charitable Foundation with an old fashioned car boot sale. The sun was out, the smiles were brimming, and the coing purses opened. We would like to thank the local Langley and Maidstone community for sparing some time here at the home. Community integration is important in forging relationships.

Easter Bingo and Crafts

Our friends from Specsavers who are due to facilitate our residents' annual eye and hearing checks dropped by with their mascot to bring some Easter goodies! Rose Water Place would like to thank Julie for our sweet treat!

Singing for the Brain

We had the wonderful Hollie Firmin join us on Friday to lead our Singing for the Brain morning.Music and singing brings our residents together to have fun whilst improving their brain activity.

Everyday is Magic!

Our residents and staff at were treated to an unforgettable performance by a talented magician, Andy. With his engaging personality and remarkable skills, he captivated everyone with up-close and personal magic. The highlight of the show was Andy's astonishing disappearing penny trick, which left the residents both amazed and astounded. As he skillfully made the penny vanish right before their eyes, gasps of wonder filled the room. It was a delightful experience that brought joy and excitement to our community. We magically want Andy back soon for another great performance.

Community Mother's Day Special

To celebrate the mothers in our community, we hosted a little soiree for the gifted and loving mums of Langley and Maidstone. An afternoon tea especially crafted by our talented kitchen team, headed by our head chef, Suraj- macrons, sweet and savoury scones, assortment of cakes and sandwiches, and some bubblies or tea! Entertainment from a saxophonist and a singer, what more could we ask for!
