Activities at Rose Water Place Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Georgia Williams

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.

I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator.  I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling.  I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.

During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Rose Water Place Care Home

Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em

Residents were treated to a real nostalgia-fest this afternoon courtesy of the wonderful actors from the Barn Theatre in Cirencester. Residents had a fantastic time enjoying a virtual screening of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, staged by the talented players from the Cotswolds-based theatre company.Frank Spencer’s comical misadventures had everyone laughing just as hard as they did back in the seventies. Based on the classic TV hit by Ray Allen and written by the award-winning Guy Unsworth, the stage version of ‘Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em’ is a fantastic feel-good show, packed with nostalgia and belly laughs. The Barn Theatre kindly filmed their stage adaptation of the show so that the residents at Rose Water Place could enjoy it from the comfort of their armchairs.

Macmillan Cancer Morning

Thank you to everyone that came along to our charity coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday. Having a coffee morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa and a slice of something delicious for a great cause. The money raised helps everyone with cancer to live life as fully as they can.

Inspecting the plant room

One of our residents used to be an electrical engineer and thoroughly enjoyed having an inspection of our plant room with our Maintenance Manager, Robert.

Busy in the greenhouse planting seeds

Our residents love getting dirty in the green house planting fruits and vegetables which our chef will be able to pick to cook with.

Food Art

Our residents have tried something different in art. Along with their sketching, they have added food to their art work. Very creative!

Minibus trip to Hastings

The residents have recently been out for a trip on the minibus to Hastings and thoroughly enjoyed visiting the arcades.
