Activities at Rose Water Place Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.
I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator. I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling. I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.
During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Our Toddler Group
We were joined by residents great grandchildren and people from the community. The residents joined in the games in with children and sang along to the nursery rhymes.

Family Fun Day
What an amazing family fun day we had.
We were joined by relatives, people from the community, friends of Rose Water Place and residents from our sister home Sutton Valence Care Home.
There was lots of activities for the children, tombola, raffle and stalls for the adults. We put Kris, our Deputy Manager, in the stocks and there was quite a queue to throw wet sponges at him.
Picking our home grown fruit & veg
Our chef, Sharoon, took some of the residents into the garden this afternoon to pick some carrots, lettuce and rhubarb from our vegetable patch. Sharoon will be cooking the rhubarb for a rhubarb crumble which the residents will have for dessert tomorrow.
Jazz on the Lawn
We have had such a wonderful afternoon at our Jazz on the lawn event.
We had friends from the community join us, relatives and residents. There was lots of delicious canapes, cocktails, dancing and wonderful singing from the incredible Victoria Bass.
There were also birthday celebrations for Maree, who is a wonderful friend and supporter to all at Rose Water Place. Our chefs baked a delicious birthday cake for her and we all sang happy birthday. We hope you enjoyed your afternoon and birthday with us.
A relaxing pamper session
Do you like being pampered?
Our ladies most certainly do. They spent the afternoon listening to whale sounds, whilst smelling lavender from the essential oil diffuser whilst having facials and hand and face massages.
