Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.

I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator.  I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling.  I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.

During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.

Mother's Day with Michael Bublé

A lovely tribute singer serenaded our residents with lovely tunes from Michael Bible's discography.A great afternoon tea party for our mothers, with loads of dancing and singing!We would like to shoutout our deepest appreciation to all the mothers out there, you are all Queens

Toddler Group

Another successful intergenerational interaction from our local neighbours and our lovely residents. These kinds of engagements improve emotional well-being, knowledge sharing, improved mental and cognitive health, and so much more.We run our free toddler group every last Friday of each month. Anyone is welcome to join!

St Patrick's Day

Residents and staff celebrated all things Irish for St Patrick’s Day. The home marked the day by baking soda bread biscuits. Head chef, Suraj, prepared a fantastic Irish lunch, which included Irish stew all washed down with Guinness.

FLIPPIN’ FUN PANCAKE DAY

Rose Water Place marked this year’s Pancake Day by spending the morning with our Head Chef, Suraj, whipping up lots of pancakes which included a pancake flipping competition.  The pancakes were served with a selection of sweet and savoury fillings for all the eager staff and residents. 

DOGGY PARADISE

Residents and staff at Rose Water Place care home in Langley, Maidstone, loved the annual return of the world’s largest dog show, Crufts.  Residents at the home are all keen animal lovers and were delighted that Crufts was back on our TVs so decided to host their own dog show. 

Canine fans at Rose Water Place hosted their own dog show in which had 9 categories and an overall winner.  Fifteen dogs participated and were put through their paces in each of the categories and were judged by the residents. But best of all they loved the agility competition where the dogs all seemed to have so much fun!

One Million Steps for Dementia UK

During the month of February, the team and residents decided not to walk 1k a day but to walk ONE MILLION STEPS for the month to raise funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.We are pleased to announce that with the support of the team, the residents, visiting professionals and visitors we achieved a total of 1,124,979 steps and raised £150. Thank you to everyone that participated in helping us to achieve our goal and more.
