Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Hi, my name is Nicki Hockly and I am the General Manager here at Plas-Y-Dderwen Care Home. Welcome to our website!
I have worked for Barchester Healthcare since 2009 across three homes and became the Deputy Manager here in February 2018, then General Manager January 2019.
I am passionate about my job and am an advocate for promoting person-centered care for the individuals we support. I offer guidance and support to our team of Nurses, Senior Carers and Care Assistants, with the aim of providing a happy, friendly and welcoming workplace.
I am responsible for ensuring that a high standard of care is maintained and delivered to residents whilst respecting privacy, dignity and choices.
Hi, my name is Kath and I am the Deputy Manager here at Plas-Y-Dderwen Care Home.
I started working for Barchester Healthcare in 2017 as an RGN and became a Senior Nurse in 2018. In January 2019 I was promoted to Deputy Manager. I support the General Manager and I offer guidance and support to our whole team in an effort to provide a happy, friendly and welcoming workplace.
Hi, my name is Andy and I am the Senior Nurse here at Plas-Y-Dderwen.
Hi, my name is Phillippa, and I am the Administrator here at Plas-Y-Dderwen.
Hefin has worked at Plas-Y-Dderwen since 2012 and ensures that residents get a good choice of food, which is always cooked to a high standard and is nutritious.
Jeff has worked for Plas-Y-Dderwen since 2010. His job is to ensure the home is maintained to a high standard and kept in full working order.
Carys has been at Plas-Y-Dderwen since 2013, and ensures that the homes is always cleaned to a high standard.
Jill the Cat!
This is Jill, the home's pet cat. Jill is key in making Plas-Y-Dderwen a real home from home for those we support. She can regularly be found lazing at someones' feet or in their lap! Jill will soon appear in her very own calendar and is looking forward to the fame this will bring her in the local community!
