Davina McLoughlin

General Manager

Hi, my name is Davina and I am the General Manager here at Ottley House. I hope you find what you're looking for on our website.

I started my career in care at Ottley House more than twenty years ago. At that time I worked in several areas which were a carer, senior carer and activities organiser. I was encouraged to pursue my passion and to follow my dream which was to become a Registered Nurse.

I thoroughly enjoyed my nurse training and was lucky enough to work along side some amazing people. On successful completion of my nurse training I decided to focus on orthopaedic nursing. I have previously worked as a ward Sister. This gave me the opportunity to develop my clinical and managerial skills where I was able to develop and guide a team of nurses. I specialised in nursing people with spinal injuries and people requiring hip and knee surgery.

I felt that my time on the ward was a great experience and gave me the correct skill sets to achieve my real passion which was to work within a nursing home. The opportunity arose to return to Ottley House Care Home as the Deputy Manager. This was an opportunity that I just had to take. I have been in post at Ottley House now since May 2015 as the Deputy Manager and was promoted to General Manager in 2017. I take great pride in my position and aim to deliver high quality nursing care to the residents who live at the home.

Deputy Manager

I started my Barchester career at Ottley in 2015 as a registered nurse; I was then promoted to head of unit and, more recently, to deputy manager.

I am here to offer guidance to our team of nurses, care practitioners and carers to ensure we deliver a high standard of care to those we support, whilst respecting their dignity and privacy within a warm, friendly environment.
