Activities at Leonard Lodge
Our activities team offer a wide range of social events, from the very popular Friday morning bingo, to gentle exercise sessions, skittles, regular animal visits and arts & crafts sessions. We are fortunate to have a team of volunteers who stop by weekly to provide additional support, allowing residents the opportunity for one-to-one sessions. These sessions could include anything, even something as simple as playing a game of Scrabble or just having a cup of tea and a chat. We believe that it is essential to support people in such a way that they are able to continue to live full and happy lives doing the things that they enjoy.
Lynn Amiri
My name is Lynn and I lead the Activities Team here at Leonard Lodge.
Since working at Leonard Lodge I have dedicated myself to ensuring that each of our residents can continue to partake in the hobbies that they have enjoyed for years. It is important that all of the residents here have access to life enriching, fun and social activities.
The whole home supports my team and I to organise activities, events and entertainment tailored to every residents preferences, abilities and needs. Each year we have a fantastically full calendar, and we look forward to the future when we can invite the families of residents to join us in the home again.
I am married with two children and two rather annoying rescue cats. I lived in Italy for a number of years and love all Italian food, especially when somebody else cooks it for me! I love to read, especially crime novels. I am a regular theatre goer with a passion for musicals. I like to sing and dance (albeit badly!).

Classic Car Show At Leonard Lodge
The weather was on our side this weekend as Leonard Lodge hosted the South Eastern Vintage & Classic Vehicle Club.
It was a very enjoyable afternoon as we were joined by classic car enthusiasts from the local community. Our residents had a brilliant time speaking with the car owners, learning more about about these fascinating machines and what it takes to keep them in tip-top condition.
Hopefield Animal Sanctuary
We had a wonderful time visiting Hopefield Animal Sanctuary yesterday. The sanctuary currently cares for over 500 sick, unwanted and mistreated animals. Their mission is to help animals in need and provide education and awareness for humane behaviour towards all animals around the world.
It is a beautiful sanctuary full of love and caring for these beautiful animals.

The residents have spoken and our doggy champions have been chosen!
The winners are:
- Waggiest Tail - Molly

- Handsomest Hound - Copper

Congratulations to our winners who will be emailed shortly and invited to Leonard Lodge to receive their prizes.
Our residents had a great time choosing winners and thought all of the dogs looked fantastic. We are looking forward to meeting them.
Music Concerts From The Comfort Of Your Favourite Chair
At Leonard Lodge our Activities Coordinators create activities calendars full of live music. Music brings us together and it is one of the cornerstones of our life enrichment programme.
This week we enjoyed hosting Ray Leonard as he serenaded us in one of the entertainment lounges. We thoroughly enjoyed Ray's visit and we are looking forward to hosting him again soon.
Out And About
This week we got out and about in the trusty mini-bus and visited Hunters Chase Garden Centre and stopped in at Bonnies cafè Hutton - their cake selection was amazing!
We love getting out and about together, especially whilst the weather has been getting better and better. We have a range of trips and days out planned for the next few months as the weather improves and the summer gets started.
Mother's Day Fun
We love to celebrate all the mothers who live with us at Leonard Lodge. This year we hosted an afternoon tea party in the garden. The weather was kind enough to cooperate and our talented kitchen team out did themselves with the cakes!
