Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat is always be welcomed.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Herne Place Care Home

Wack a Mole
Today our residents enjoyed our very own version of Wack a Mole!
Our activities team made their way around the home offering carnival games, bringing the fairground to them in the comfort of their own home.
Wack a Mole was our residents' favourite game!

Ice Cream trip to the Seafront
We had a fabulous afternoon trip to the beach with some of our residents!
We spent the afternoon admiring the lovely views in our local town and also stopped for a delicious ice cream on the seafront!
Luckily the sun was out!
Lots of smiles all round!

Herne Place Sports Day
A fantastic Saturday with our homes Sports Day with Staff VS Staff. Our residents had the pleasure of cheering their team on as we competed against each other to win Sports Day!
We had games throughout the day with football, egg and spoon race, tug of war and piggy back race. Our residents were a great crowd.
One of our residents said “That was absolutely brilliant, can we have another Sports Day! I really enjoyed that, well done!” Here is to our next Sports Day!

A visit to Briary Pre School
We would like to thank Briary Pre School for a lovely cream tea! It was delicious! We spoke with the little children while enjoying a lovely scone and a glass of lemonade, we also had the opportunity to hear the children singing some songs for us too.

Minibus Trip to Herne Bay Seafront
We had a lovely trip to Herne Bay Seafront recently and our residents got to see the children on the pier crabbing, we was also admiring the old pier and reminiscing memories of when our residents used to visit the beach with their families.

Little Explorers
Our regular visits from the Little Explorers are something to look out for. Our residents and the children enjoy the intergenerational play that stimulates the mind, body and soul. These visits happen every 2 weeks, so come and join!
