Activities at Hall Park Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily.  We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Santa visits our home

We had some very excited children come into the home from #angelsbydaynursery

They came to visit our Christmas wonderland and had a surprise visit from a jolly Santa.

They were all so thrilled to tell Santa about what they wanted for Christmas and how good they have been too, which earned them a gift from Santa.

After, along with some of our residents, we all sang some Christmas carols.

If you would like to visit our beautiful Christmas wonderland and Santa.

Our grotto will be open Monday 11th December 2.30 till 3.30 then every Monday and Friday.

Entrance fee is £2

Tripping the light fantastic!

Lighting up time got a whole new meaning at Barchester Hall Park care home as the community came together to see the home’s Christmas lights switched on for the very first time this Christmas.  Staff and residents at Barchester’s Hall Park Care Home, in Bulwell, got in the Christmas spirit by inviting the community to come and join in with staff and residents who all gathered in the home’s garden for the occasion.

There was hot chocolate to keep everyone warm.  The Christmas tree and all the lights looked amazing when Bulwell MP Alex Norris and residents Majorie Garlick, flicked the switch for the big reveal.

What a great day out!

Some of our residents have had a fantastic day out at Edwalton Manor care home.

Where we took part in their first carpet boules competition competing against other care homes, arranged by Ross, who comes to our home to provide exercise sessions.

Although our residents didn’t make it into the top 3 of winners. Everyone really enjoyed their time there and were treated like 5 star guest.

We would all like to thank Alice Kirkby, Matt Brown and Ross King for invited us to their beautiful care home and their great hospitality.

Also giving us the opportunity to have a caricature portrait drawn by Richard Ellis, which we all loved.
