"After several years of caring for my husband at home, I found it necessary to find a suitable facility for him to be cared for. We were lucky enough in being accepted into Canmore Lodge. The help, assistance and care received goes above + beyond all expectations. With it's home from home atmosphere, one could not ask for a better care home to be part of. A privalidge indeed. Thanks to one & all."

I had the pleasure of visiting this care home during the Great British Care Cycle Relay where we visited Special Care Homes across Scotland. What a special welcome we received!

When we arrived the residents and staff cheered, waved flags and they prepared special treats for us. The staff were all very friendly and professional. I particularly want to shout out the care delivery of the care home manager. She supported an elderly resident to get in the middle of the photo together, to make sure she was at the heart of the photo and the home.

What a special day, thanks again!

Canmore in my opinion is the best Carehome.
My Mum has been a Resident in Memory Lane for over 3yrs.
It is so daunting having to see a loved one moved into care.
The entire team at Canmore have been supportive from the onset.
Canmore is Mum's home and well with this we have gained an extension to our family in the team that care for Mum, plus the relatives also form friendships.
I am highly critical because I work in care personally, so you could say I tend not to miss a trick.
Long time ago I was taught the five second senses test, basically when one walks into a new environment ones senses should be stimulated in a positive way. Canmore passed with flying colours and I continue to put this test into practice regularly, they continue to deliver.
Hey don't get me wrong, nothing is completely perfect but that is reality, one has to be open minded. But again the team are on it, you bring something to their attention that needs addressed and they are on it.
The guilt of not being able to care for Mum personally, did weigh one down.
However, knowing Mum is at Canmore and this is now her home has removed the guilt.
Mum is in the best place, thank you to everyone ❤️

"Barchester Canmore Lodge Care Home has looked after my aunt these last seven years until her passing earlier this year. The physical care was exceptional as my aunt was always clean, kempt, neatly dressed and smart-looking. But, more than this, she was lovingly cared for emotionally. My aunt looked up to the nurses and carers with smiling eyes and likewise, the staff spoke with her kindly and lovingly. The 'family' atmosphere there is tangible. When any health problem arose, Canmore Lodge acted quickly and professionally."

The Canmore Lodge Care Home is where my older relative had been the last 7 years until her passing earlier this year. It wasn't just the physical care that made her look so well and clean EVERY time we visited but the loving care that made her smile at the nurses and carers when they popped in to check all was well or administer medicine etc.
Canmore Lodge has a relaxed family feel to it and all staff have always been very friendly.
When I arrived recently after being away for many months, I was greeted like a family member, even though my relative had passed away some time previously.
Thank you Jane and Sharon and Kim in particular for your care and all that you did over the years supported by all your staff.

My wife Helen spent her last year in Canmore Lodge she had such a better quality of life and enjoyed herself with the staff and other residents and other visiting relatives. She loved the food and the care she received was first class. The homes manager Jane is first class at her job and runs the place like clockwork, nothing is to much trouble for her. I am so glad my wife spent her last year so happy. I can see first hand why Canmore Lodge wins so many awards and receives so much great reviews.
