"My aunt stayed in Canmore Lodge for the last eighteen months. The care she has received has been of the highest standard. She has been visited several times every week by family members who are all adamant that she could not have been better cared for anywhere. The atmosphere in the home is fantastic, the meals etc. are of a very high standard too. Thank you to all the staff and relatives of other residents who echo the thoughts I have expressed."

"Canmore Lodge is a home that cares from senior management to the cleaners, they are all full of love and compassion not only for my mum but all residents. On a personal note, the care for Mum is second to none, support, love and attention to detail for personal care. The home is always clean, rooms always tidy and the food excellent. As my mum is 97 years old it's because the staff have given her a reason to live. I could write on and on but it's with love that I thank Canmore Lodge for being so wonderful."

"My sister has come into Barchester Canmore Lodge Care Home to live out the rest of her life. The care that my sister has received since admission is faultless. Prior to admission, I was told my sister had a blister to her heel. However, my sister's heel was necrotic. It has been a slow process. Now always mealed with patience and care from staff within Canmore Lodge. I gave also been supported myself by the care home staff."

"My parents are both residents at Canmore Lodge. They were welcomed with open arms in March 21. The transition from their home to the care home was seamless. All staff (especially management) went out of their way to make the move stress free. They have enjoyed excellent food, activities (even an outing in the minibus) and have had fantastic professional care every day. The staff at Canmore work together as an excellent team, led by the manager who is outstanding. The staff always update me by phone with any changes in medication or general care requirements and sometimes get involved in FaceTime! In the last few days, my dad has commenced end of life care. The management team and nurses/carers again have gone above and beyond to support us as a family and ensuring dad is comfortable. Can’t thank them all enough. Nothing is too much trouble and I’m comforted to know that they’re both being taken great care of."

"My wife has been resident at Canmore Lodge Care Home for four years and has been cared for in an exemplary way throughout. The care and dedication of all the staff is exceptional and every opportunity is taken to ensure that my wife is comfortable and able to respond, albeit in a restricted way, to all the stimulae provided in the home. The quality of accommodation, food, entertainment and all round care is excellent and has been maintained through the pandemic, even when an outbreak of Covid occurred. Communication from Canmore and the gradual easing of visiting restrictions have been handled in the most professional and careful ways and I have nothing but admiration for everyone working there."

"Canmore Lodge is a wonderful care home. From the moment you enter you can feel the warm, welcoming vibes. The layout is such that the residents are able to wander about quite freely, no stairs and plenty of comfy seats. There is always enough staff to ensure everyone feels secure and happy. The staff know all the residents personally and are always willing to assist with any problem that may arise or just to have a laugh and a joke. Qualified nursing staff are on duty 24/7 and are all very professional. The bedrooms are of a good size and the majority are ensuite. There are different activities and entertainment every single day and residents are encouraged to join in. The gardens and lounge areas are well used, perfect places to sit and natter with your friends and relatives, whilst enjoying a cup of tea and a slice of cake! I would highly recommend Canmore Lodge to anyone in need of extra care."

"After quite a lot of research, I decided that Canmore provided the best opportunity for my heavily disabled wife to enjoy the few years left to her. The friendly and open atmosphere where all the staff acknowledge you and smile and chat, makes the home feel welcoming and not institutional. The atmosphere, I am sure, has a lot to do with the leadership and manager, administrator and receptionist, backed up by very professional nursing and care staff."

"This is one of the best care homes I have been in. The manager is polite and compassionate, staff are great and nothing is an effort. When you ask for assistance, they are there right away. The home is to a very standard of cleanliness, rooms are nice and spacious, residents are treated with care and dignity. "I cannot recommend this care home highly enough! The care and attention received by my relative is just exemplary - there are so many staff always around and they all seemed to know her well. Always plenty of welcoming smiles for guests and residents. However, my highest praise goes to the manager, along with the assistant manager and charge nurse, who have been outstanding in dealing with various needs unique to our situation - they have dealt with these so professionally and willingly. "Our family cannot speak highly enough with regards to the care and attention given to our mother. Anything that we ask for or to be done is always acknowledged with a smile and a very much can do attitude nothing is too much bother. The staff ar Canmore Lodge are a credit to Barchester, recently our mother has had to have assistance with meal times and care is always given to her. They are willing to go out of their way to ensure she enjoys what she is eating. Thank you."

"I can only write how overwhelmingly grateful we are for the way the Canmore experience has contributed to an improvement in the way my wife has rediscovered a degree of independent living. She is able to walk (albeit with assistance), sit at a table for meals and generally be able to be free from the 'bed chair' she has been confined to for the past 3 and a half years. This has been achieved primarily by the medication review and encouragement from the dedicated staff. The physical attributes of the home are all excellent. Most importantly the staff are totally committed to the residents' wellbeing and communicate well with each other. This must be part of the reason why there is little turnover of staff and no usage of agency workers, which is very important for continuity of care. The ultimate kudos for all this must go to the senior management team and to the home manager. The improvements achieved since the appointment have been truly outstanding!"

"My Dad, who has Lewy Body Dementia, ended up in Hospital for over 6 months before finally being placed at Canmore Lodge in January 2018. Within hours, they had him up walking and using the bathroom; things he hadn't been given assistance within Hospital. The change in him was remarkable immediately and we are confident that he is treated with respect and dignity; I cannot fault the Nursing Staff or the Carers - nothing asked or requested is every too much trouble. I'm kept very up to date with anything that happens e.g. falls or Doctor reviews, etc. The environment is always calm and the Memory Lane staff really are just wonderful."

"My husband has been in Canmore Lodge since the 8th of May 2015 and he has parkinson's. He is very comfortable in Canmore, we find the staff very attentive, cheery and nothing is ever a bother to them. Nursing wise, I can't fault them at all. The staff as a whole have worked very hard to improve on his disabilities and weaknesses with much success. As his wife I find all the carers more than kind and helpful and very understanding of our situation. Can't recommend the home enough. The meals are of a very high standard not to mention all the extras in the course of the day. The entertainment officer keeps them very stimulated."
