Activities at Bere Grove Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hollie Wren
Hi, I'm Hollie. I have worked in healthcare for six years taking on a variety of roles. I am so proud to be heading up the activity team and supporting our residents with a life-enriching programme of events. I am highly motivated and love sharing my creative and imaginative side with everyone. I truly believe age is just a number and there is nothing we cannot achieve if we work together.
I like to create a person-centred activity programme so each resident gets the opportunity to enjoy what they love. This is their time to relax, enjoy and have fun.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bere Grove Care Home

Fun on our fabulous Magic Table
Recently our residents had their first impressions of our Magic Table and thoroughly enjoyed a classic game of fruit ninja!
Our magic table has the benefits of a much larger screen than a phone or tablet, everything becomes LIFESIZE. With a screen this big and that makes reading, seeing and listening much easier for those with impairments.
Scientists have found that seniors who play online games improve their memory and help maintain other cognitive skills. These apps can also significantly reduce confusion and increase ease of use, and above all, its great fun

Bere Bake Off
Our ladies love to bake. So that's exactly what they did. Donning aprons and gloves they took to the satellite kitchen to prepare and bake a beautiful sponge cake. Mary Berry eat your heart out. We are sure this will be a firm favourite activity for all.

Art Masterclass's
Residents had a wonderful afternoon learning how to draw on canvas using the Bob Ross method. Under the watchful eye of Hollie Activity Co ordinator everyone produced some wonderful creations. So much so that we are going to be displaying the designs in the coming weeks.

Welcoming our 1st residents
As the doors are now open it is time to welcome our new residents. What a welcome they received. With a home almost to themselves for a few days it was time to unpack, unwind and be waited on.

It's Official We are Open
What a wonderful day we had. We welcomed local community, professionals and our very first residents to enjoy some fabulous Bere Grove Hospitality. Anthony Williams the chairman of East Hants district gave a speech and unveiled our plaque. Our chef's created delicious canape's all washed down with lots fo fizz. There was a chance to view the home in all its glory and generally have a wonderful opening event.

Bere Grove at Angel Radio
We were welcomed onto Angel Radio in Havant, we chatted with Tony about the Barchester approach to person centred care and our beautiful new home Bere Grove which is set to open later this month. Whilst we were there one of our wonderful new guests, who is waiting to join us called in to say Hello... We are so excited as we are counting down these last few days. Thank-you Tony we had a great time and will definitely be back and hopefully will be able to set up that outside broadcast from the Bere Grove.
