Meet the Bere Grove Care Home Team

My name is Dimitrie and I’m delighted to join this lovely team at Bere Grove as Deputy Manager. 
I have worked in the care sector since 2014 with 10 years of progressive experience.
Also I’m an holder of Bachelor degree in Business Management.
I think it’s vital to have empathy and a passion for enhancing residents care and wellbeing.
My passion is to assist in the drive of my team to provide outstanding quality and service to the residents. 
Seeing the smile on the residents faces whilst fulfilling  their lives is what I love about my role.
Outside of work I love to go to the football matches and also spending time with family and friends.

Hi, my name is Jon, I am the head Chef here at Bere Grove.

I have been in catering for over twenty five years, mainly working in restaurants and hotels.

The knowledge I gained from previous roles within the hospitality industry has helped me settle very comfortably into the role I am in now.

I really enjoy my role here at Bere Grove, apart from the planning and cooking I love the interaction with our fabulous resident

In my time away from Bere Grove I love to go fishing and enjoy baking with my children

I am really passionate about supporting our residents and their loved ones here at the home. I hope people see me as a friendly face when they come in to visit us.

Hello, my name is Kate and I am a senior night carer here at Bere Grove.

I have 18 years’ experience in care and I am very passionate about quality of care, ensuring residents needs and wishes are met. I love meeting new faces and getting to know the residents.

I have worked in the care industry since I was sixteen. I couldn't imagine doing anything else. From the residents to the team and everything in between. It is a role I really enjoy and love getting to know our residents as well as being an integral part of the team. It really does feel like family.

Hey, my name is Caron. I have spent the last eight years caring in the community and really enjoy giving back to our elderly. I am a Senior on the team which means I can support in all aspects of care including the safe delivery of medication. My motto is always to treat people as you want to be treated yourself. It really works. I have three children and currently two grandchildren, but you never know there may be more one day.

Hi, My name is Lydia. I joined Barchester in January 2024, I chose a career in care after a personal experience visiting my grandmother in a care home. It opened my eyes to how the fundamentals of compassionate care can truly transform someone's quality of life. I love my job and the residents I care for. 

In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit and heading out on country hikes with friends. Supporting our residents with dignity, empathy, and genuine care is at the heart of everything I do.

Hello, I'm Raz and I am the General Assistant here at Bere Grove. 

I enjoy working here and I love talking to and interacting with our residents. I am happy to be a part of this wonderful team and to make sure our residents are having the best time here and receiving first class service. 

Hi, I'm Nico. I’ve been a chef for 27 years and have had the pleasure of working in many kitchens, including running my own award-winning restaurant in Portsmouth, which was even featured in the news for its outstanding food. I’m now proud to be part of the team here as Second Chef, bringing my passion and experience to every dish I create.

I love experimenting with flavours, but my favourites to make are Spaghetti Carbonara and creamy, comforting risottos. I believe good food brings people together, and it’s a joy to create meals that our residents truly enjoy.

Hi, I'm Hollie. I have worked in healthcare for six years taking on a variety of roles. I am so proud to be heading up the activity team and supporting our residents with a life-enriching programme of events. I am highly motivated and love sharing my creative and imaginative side with everyone. I truly believe age is just a number and there is nothing we cannot achieve if we work together. 

I like to create a person-centred activity programme so each resident gets the opportunity to enjoy what they love. This is their time to relax, enjoy and have fun.

Hello, I'm Ella. I have lived here in England with my two sons for nine years now.

As Head housekeeper, myself and my team will be responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of this beautiful home. I will ensure that everyone who visits will have a memorable and welcoming experience.

Hello, My name is Jade. I am a Senior Carer at Bere Grove. It has been amazing to be part of the opening of this home and to start welcoming our new residents. I am looking forward to the home continuing to grow. I worked in the community for four years and my nature is helping people and making a difference. I have recently been promoted to senior carer and I am excited to continue my career here at Barchester. 

In my spare time i really enjoy time at home and a good documentary.

Hi, I am Sarah. For the last 20 years, I worked as an administrator in the Motor trade. I started helping my elderly neighbour with shopping, gardening and delivering meals. I just loved how it made me feel and knew I wanted to pursue a career in care. I then went to care in the community until I joined the Bere Grove team. I enjoy every day, from listening to the stories, making people smile and becoming part of their family.

Hi, My name is Chloe. I’ve been working in care for eight years and joined Barchester in 2023. I’m passionate about making a difference every day and my goal is to continue growing in my role with the ambition of becoming a Senior Carer in the near future.

Outside of work, I’m a busy mum to two wonderful children and enjoy running to stay active. I especially love taking part in Tough Mudder events, often fundraising for Cancer Research. I believe in giving my all, both at work and beyond, and I’m proud to be part of a team that puts people first.

I love spending time with the residents and it makes me really smile to see lots of happy faces when the residents all have a cup or tea and a nice big slice of cake in their hand. 

Hello, my name is Robert  and I am the Community Lead at Bere Grove. I have been working in the care industry for 29 years and have gained a wide range of experience from all corners of the globe. My passion has always been to help people and ensure that every resident has a smile on their face each day. It brings me great joy to be part of a team that values kindness, support, and high-quality care. When I’m not looking after our residents, I enjoy taking my two dogs for walks and getting out on my bike. I’m proud to be part of the Barchester family and look forward to continuing to make a positive difference here at the home.
