Activities at Ashby House
Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to enrich peoples lives here at Ashby House. We stimulate people both physically and mentally by organising fun filled, group and individual activities to promote the well-being of those we support.
There are regular outings in our very own minibus and visits from PAT dog therapists, church services, musicians, dancers, and local school children. We also have our very own 'Good Life' gardening club, where we grow our own produce, which we then use in our cooking club. We also host weekly bingo sessions which are proving very popular and are growing in numbers.

I joined Ashby House in April 2022, I thoroughly enjoy my role as Activities coordinator and love coming to work and having chats with the residents and families.
I listen to the residents and learn about their interest and support them to be involved with activities. When I am not at work not at work I love spending time with my family playing board games.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Ashby House Care Home
New Year Celebrations
On New Year's Eve Ashby House had a little party. We had King Rackham come into the home to play live Piano and Violin to bring in the New Year in style. After the live performance we had a delicious buffet. It was the perfect way to start the new year.
Christmas Time at Ashby
Christmas time at Ashby House was full of joy and happiness. It was a very busy activities schedule with Christmas Bingo, a Christmas Raffle with Cheese and Wine, a Christmas Disco with DJ Mike, and other live entertainment and activities. We would like to say thank you for every volunteer who came in to Ashby and spent time with us.
Santa Claus Visits Ashby House
Santa Claus came and visited everyone in Ashby House over the Christmas period, he was wandering if they had been good all year! Special thanks for the little Elf’s for coming and keeping Santa busy that day. Santa left a special message to our ambassador Mary to make sure everyone is on the 'nice' list next year!
Christmas Party on Bradwell
We held a great Christmas Party on Bradwell for the residents. An amazing time was had by all with live music and delicious food. Merry Christmas everyone!
Christmas Party on Memory Lane
We had a wonderful time at our Christmas party on our Memory Lane Community. Everyone had a lovely time listening to great music and eating delicious food prepared by our chefs.
Out & About
Residents enjoyed a minibus trip around Milton Keynes. It was a lovely day out!

Join us for our dementia cafe, enjoy cakes, refreshments, activities & a warm welcome. Family / carers come along too, make new friends in a safe space.
