Prestbury Beaumont enjoys parties and festive fun

A number of events have seen Prestbury Beaumont Care Home celebrate the Christmas period in style, with the community giving thanks to the village's inhabitants for helping out.

The home was the focus of a new report in the Macclesfield Express, with Prestbury Beamont explaining how it celebrated Christmas with an event every single day from December 1st all the way through to the end of the month.

Residents were treated to carol singing as well as several visits from villagers, whether they were young or old, with St Peter's Church Choir entertaining those at the home, while Prestbury Methodist Church and pupils from Prestbury school also had fun during December.

Mark Shockledge, general manager, told the newspaper that the events helped everyone get in the Christmas mood.

He continued: "So to finish it off we held a party for all of the residents, staff and family. There was music, entertainment and food - it was a great opportunity to get everyone together before Christmas."

As with many of Barchester Healthcare's care homes, Prestbury Beaumont has been handed an "Excellent" rating from the Care Quality Commission for its wide arrange of services and quality of accommodation and support.
