Alexandra Court is a nursing home that’s conveniently located in Carntyne, just a few miles from Glasgow city centre. Our home has a private garden with outdoor seating for residents to enjoy.

We provide high quality 24-hour nursing care, in addition to expert care for younger people with physical disabilities, people with Huntington's disease, Parkinson’s disease and other illnesses that require short term or long term nursing support; and dementia care.

Our highly-qualified staff focus on the personal needs of residents, creating a tailored care plan for each individual. We offer a wide variety of services and we are sure that we can offer you what you need.

Like all Barchester homes we pay particular attention to our cooking, hospitality and organised activities – we think these factors sit at the heart of a good home.

Please feel free to visit and see for yourself all that we have to offer.

Julianna Thompson

General Manager

Hi, my name is Julianna and I am the General Manager here at Alexandra Court. I hope you find what you're looking for on our website.

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1998 from The Queens University of Belfast and have worked in mental health, acquired brain injury and care of the elderly now for over 20 years.

I have a passion for delivering an outstanding level of care for the people I support. I enjoy working closely with my team to ensure that we provide high quality care in a centre of excellence.

I came to the home as the General Manager in September 2017, and I am thoroughly enjoying my work here. Alexandra Court is a wonderful place to work and we have immense support from our residents and our relatives. We promote a very homely atmosphere and this is down to the hard work, dedication and ownership of the home by the team, residents and relatives.
