Aime Bown
General Manager
Hello, My name is Aime and I am the General Manager here at Tyspane Care Home, welcome to our website.
Myself and my team are extremely proud to be supporting the residents that live in our care each day. We are a dedicated and hard working team and take pride in the fantastic care that is delivered in our home.
I am a registered Nurse and I live locally to Tyspane with my husband and two daughters. Throughout my career I have worked in a range of care settings, including the NHS and I find my work just as rewarding today as it was when I began. Our residents are at the heart of all we do and every team member is here to bring a person centred approach to each individual.
My role at Tyspane is to make sure that our residents lead happy, fulfilling lives making the best of each and every day in a safe and beautiful environment.
I have an ‘open door’ policy and will do my best to support residents their families and my staff team alike. Please come and visit us, we would love to meet you and show you our beautiful home.

Care Practioner
Hi, my name is Sandra and I am Care Practitioner here at Tyspane. I lead, plan, manage, direct and monitor the delivery of high quality care to the residents and maintain professional standards whilst striving for continuous improvement. I offer advice and support to help their teams provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable residential environment for our residents to live in.

Hello, my name is Sikho and I am a Senior Nurse here at Tyspane Care Home. My role in our home is leading the care team and providing outstanding nursing care and support to our residents.
I take great pride in my work and delivering a high standard of care with a person centred approach is always at the front of my mind.

Unit Lead Nurse and Dementia Champion
Hi my name is Bertha, and I am a Senior Nurse and Dementia Champion leading the care team and providing up-to-date training for staff and support to residents living with dementia.

Jacqui Conroy
Activities Coordinator
Jacqui and her team devise and plan fun group activities and events for all our residents, including pamper days, gentle exercise classes and music therapies. Regular one to one sessions and smaller groups are tailored to residents specific needs and hobbies with gardening and crafts amongst the most popular.

Claire Comer
Head of Housekeeping
Claire is responsible for the housekeeping and laundry team in Tyspane Care Home. She ensures the home meets a high standard of cleanliness and works closely with staff, residents and relatives. She works with her team to ensure that the home is clean and inviting.

Leanne Robb
Senior Care Assistant
Hello, my name is Leanne, and I am a senior carer and nutritional champion. I support the residents and junior staff to provide good nutrition along with personal care, helping our residents to get the best out of each day.

Hi, my name is Bella, and I am a carer and nutrition champion at Tyspane helping residents with all their nutritional needs.

Abi Byrne

Chenayi Chawanda
Unit Lead Nurse
Hello, my name is Chenayi and I am a senior nurse here at Tyspane care home. I am the nurse leading our night team here at the home.
I am also the palliative nurse champion, this means I take every measure to ensure our residents approaching the end of their life receive person centred nursing support taking all their wishes in to account and ensuring they are comfortable, safe and treated with the utmost respect at this time.
Working at Tyspane brings me great joy, I have a fabulous team and the home is such a wonderful home to work in. I am proud of the care we provide our residents and their loved ones.

Georgie Williams
Physiotherapy Assistant
Hi my name is Georgina Williams and I am a physio assistant and falls champion offering physiotherapy packages to support to our residents to remain as mobile and independent as possible.

Helen Whitehead
Administrator
Helen is responsible for all administration and financial aspects relating to the running of the home. She has been with the company for some time now and has provided much-appreciated continuity. She is the heart of the home and has a difficult job that she does well.

David Brooke
Head of Maintenance
Hi, my name is David and I have been the Head of Maintenance here at Tyspane since June 2015.

Administration Assistant
Hi, My Name is Kirsty and I am the Admin assistant here at Tyspane care home. You will find me at reception and I am happy to help with any queries.

Mia Hayes
Senior Carer
Hello, my name is Mia, and I am a senior carer and palliative care champion.
My role is to support residents and their families, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing through life's journey.

Babs Spear
Physio Assistant
Babs was previously the Head of Activities & Physiotherapy here at Tyspane, but now works only as the Physio Assistant.
Her main interests are keeping fit and she spends a lot of her spare time as a fitness instructor, holding various classes around the local community.
In 2016, she was awarded the 'Devon Best Practice Award' for her flexicise class. She owns our three 'paper dogs' – her three Maltese – who deliver papers with her in the morning.
She is band 4 in physio and really tries to make residents' days fun; she very much believes in the 'if you don’t use it, you lose it' mentality, so she always encourages residents to participate, regardless of mobility concerns, because everyone is able to do something!
