Types of care
Here at Tyspane Care Home, we provide person-centred nursing care services for older people in need of support. It is important to us that our care services are delivered in a way that celebrates each person’s individuality and helps them to maintain as much independence as possible, so we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each person. This could include personal one-to-one time with staff members when needed, regular visits from a chiropodist or just adhering to special dietary requirements. Hi, my name is Sara, and I am the General Manager here at Tyspane. Welcome to our website!
Nursing has been my life for over 35 years! I trained in Cambridge in the early eighties and have worked for the NHS in general practice and in the private sector. My passion has always been to provide the best service for all and give people a voice. I had a particular interest in respiratory medicine and led a community respiratory service for North Devon, at the time being very involved with the British Lung Foundation.
I have been a registered manager for three different homes since 2010, having a particular interest in empowering residents to lead a full and happy life.
I was born and bred in North Devon and have worked here for the majority of my working life in the local community or in the local hospital. My family live in Braunton and I am thrilled to be joining Tyspane and working with people and healthcare professionals that I have known and respected for a long time.
Barchester has given me the opportunity to deliver the best care and services in such beautiful surroundings. I am excited to be working with the team to offer the highest standards of care to our aging community.Get in touch Meet my team
