Rothsay Grange is a beautiful, purpose-built care home that provides 24-hour nursing, dementia and residential care for both long and short-term stays. With the help of our dedicated team, we provide bespoke, person-centred care to older people in a friendly, home-from-home environment. The home is conveniently located near Andover, in North West Hampshire.
The home's specialist Memory Lane Community utilises a careful blend of skills and techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, incorporating person-centred design in its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home, whilst thoughtful interior design features, such us adapted crockery and tableware assists with reminiscence. Communities are broken up into separate units with a family feel so people can feel safe and comfortable. Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.
We are proud to say that our dedication is seen across our services, as we offer a high standard of food, hospitality and housekeeping, as well as an activities programme that is tailored to residents’ own interests and hobbies. Our full-time Activities Coordinator works to ensure there is a variety of planned and one-to-one activities, including Zumba, music therapy, an arts club and much more.

Types of care
Rothsay Grange offer bespoke nursing care to adults of all ages in a welcoming environment with fine dining and a broad range of activities. In our separate Memory Lane community, we provide expert care for people living with dementia and their families. We also pride ourselves in delivering person-centred nursing care to all residents. I was trained as an Intensive Care Nurse and had worked in various healthcare settings in many different capacities.
I am passionate in the care for the elderly, in particular Dementia Care.
I am pleased to have a wonderful and supportive team here at Rothsay and I work to embed the Barchester Values within the team and continue to seek improvement in the quality of care to our residents.

Our response to our latest inspection
In our CQC inspection which took place at the start of 2021, we received 3 'Good' ratings for Caring, Responsive, and Effective and have a clear action plan to make improvements in the areas needed which you can view below. A number of changes have already been actioned and positive improvements have been made.View our response
