Meet the Rothsay Grange Care Home team
Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Hi, my name is Amanda and I am the General Manager here at Rothsay Grange. Welcome to our website!
I have been working at Rothsay since 2019, initially as a nurse, progressing quickly through the ranks as Head of Unit, Clinical Deputy Manager and now as General Manager.
I have a passion for working with vulnerable adults, as well as working clinically with the residents. I am a very experienced nurse, having worked in many areas of healthcare, including ward management.
I am always available to speak with and answer and questions or concerns.
I’m Anne-Marie and I’ve been working at Rothsay Grange for over 10 years now. Over that time, I have received promotions and taken on responsibilities to the point where I am now Non-Clinical Lead.
I absolutely love working with the residents, and truly care about each person I have (and do) care for. In my role as Non-Clinical Lead I oversee many aspects of the home including quality and staffing. I am also a trained Care Practitioner, meaning that I can work on the floor and give medication to residents when our nurses take some much needed holiday.
My name is Sini and I am the Unit Nurse Manager of Top Floor. I love to spend my time with the residents and make sure that they are actively enjoying their time here at Rothsay. I am kind and caring, and pride myself on being a friendly, approachable person that the residents feel comfortable speaking to.
I have been working for Rothsay for a few years now, and I love this home! I am the Unit Nurse Manager of Ground Floor and I am the person you are most likely to speak to if your loved one lives on the ground floor with my team. I have been a trained nurse for many years and enjoy the consistency that working in a care home with long term residents brings.
I've worked at Rothsay Grange since 2011, starting as an Activities Coordinator before moving into an administration role in January 2018. I really enjoy the variety that this position brings daily and the challenges that it has. I also thoroughly enjoy meeting potential residents and their relatives, and showing them all that we have to offer here.
Irene & Leah
Irene and Leah have been working together since 2019, and thoroughly enjoy planning and providing activities for our residents. They are a great team and always bring joy and fun to wherever they are in the home.
Leah has worked at Rothsay since she was 16, as an apprentice carer, and has worked her way into a position that she loves.
Irene has many years’ experience in working with vulnerable adults and children, and also started working here as a care assistant several years ago, before moving on to senior carer and then into the activities coordinator role.
Both love seeing the way that residents' lives are enriched with the activities they provide, and love interacting with all the residents in our care.
I have worked at Rothsay since 2015, initially as a care assistant, specialising in dementia care. I moved to admin in 2017 when I had my daughter, and love this role as well. I feel I’ve found my niche and enjoy fulfilling my role to the best of my abilities. I love still being able to speak with the residents, their relatives as well as any potential new residents that I may greet at the door, or speak to on the phone.
I joined Rothsay Grange as the Second Chef before being promoted to Head Chef in 2018. I have many years’ experience running a kitchen, and have managed several pubs and restaurants throughout my life. I love to work with the older community, and being able to provide them with great food is a wonderful experience for me.
