Activities at Oaklands Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Remembrance Day

Here at Oaklands, we held a remembrance service with our Vicar, Sue Giles, along with some children from the local primary schools. It gave us all the chance to reflect and remember.

Barchester Carnival

We had a great Barchester carnival as a joint event with our sister home Hilton Park. We had a Caribbean theme music event with singing, dancing, a tap dancing show and a delicious picnic lunch with a cocktail of choice “Barchester Bang”. Family’s joined us and even Peters son got involved with the show and some even say he stole the show!!
