Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:

Claire Cowper

General Manager

Hi, my name is Claire, and I am the General Manager here at ​Mount House and Severn View.

I originally started at Ottley House Care Home (a sister Barchester care home) many years ago as a Care Assistant. I left to continue my development and to complete my mental health nurse training, which was something that I had always wanted to do and an area that I was very passionate about.

I am still very passionate about my role and ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care and are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

I returned to Ottley House in 2015 as the Head of Unit for Memory Lane. I remained in this position for 18 months and worked hard with my team to move the unit forward and successfully achieved Barchester's dementia care training accreditation.

In January 2017, I took a post at a different company, which gave me the experience managing a large nursing home.

In February 2018, there came an opportunity for me to return to Ottley House as the Deputy Manager, which I did without hesitation, and I am now at Mount House and Severn View as the General Manager.

Deputy Manager

Clara is The Mounts Deputy Manager. She supports the GM and all of the other staff at The Mount Care Home. Before Clara was promoted to deputy Manger she worked at the home as a Lead Nurse. Clara is very skilled and passionate about her work and providing quality care for all of our residents.

Team Leader

Aimee has worked at the Mount House & Severn View for over 3 years. She joined the team as a care assistant and now works as a team leader for residential care. Aimee also provides support to all of the care assistants.

Unit Nurse Manager

Donna is a highly skilled General Nurse and is responsible for ensuring our team of nurses, care practitioners, senior carers and carers deliver high standards of care, whilst respecting residents' dignity, privacy and wishes. Her role is to ensure the health, safety and well-being of those we support and offer guidance to our team, who always try to maintain a warm and friendly environment.

Care Practitioner

Claire qualified as the Mount House and Severn View’s second Care Practitioner in 2019. She has been working here for over 10 years, and provides support to all of the care assistants and senior care staff, whilst also working closely alongside the nursing team & Clinical Lead.

Becky Lewis

Becky Lewis

Administrator

Becky joined the administration team at the Mount House & Severn View in 2012, and was promoted to Administrator in 2019. Becky is responsible for all of the administrative and financial aspects related to the running of the Mount House. The admin team are always on hand with a friendly welcome and offers of assistance.

Activities Coordinator

Originally joined the team as a carer & activities assistant, and I am now the activities coordinator.

I have previous experience within the care sector, and I endeavour to provide a broad-ranging activities programme for those we support, which will be based primarily around the wants and needs of residents and include lots of musical entertainment, holistic therapies and social events within the home, as well as out in the local community.

My days are spent making sure that the residents in the home have an interesting and active social programme to enjoy each day. Residents' individual preferences are always considered, and I welcome feedback from families too.

Shirley is the Mount House's very first Care Practitioner. She has been working here since 2010 and provides support to all of the care assistants.

Jodie has worked at the Mount House & Severn View since 2015/ She originally joined the team as a carer, and she now works on the activities team as an activities assistant.

Head Chef

Steffi has been working at the Mount House & Severn View since 2014 and was promoted to Head Chef in 2018. Steffi creates well-balanced and nutritional meals using locally sourced ingredients to provide a dining experience to remember for all residents and visitors. Steffi also holds nutritional meetings and tailors her daily menus to residents' preferences.

Head of Maintenance

Dave joined the Mount House & Severn View as our Head of Maintenance in 2019. He is responsible for maintaining the grounds and buildings, ensuring a safe environment in which to live and work.

Joe Cieciora

Joe Cieciora

Maintenance Assistant

Joe joined the Mount House & Severn View in 2014 as one of our Kitchen Assistants and was then promoted to our home’s Maintenance Assistant. Joe works alongside Dave and is also responsible for maintaining the grounds and buildings, ensuring a safe environment in which to live and work.

Ashleigh Bebb

Ashleigh Bebb

Head of Housekeeping

Ashleigh joined Barchester in 2016. She has a lot of experience within the care sector and she is responsible for making sure that our home meets the highest of hygiene standards.

Phil Ingram

Phil Ingram

Second Chef

Phil has worked at the Mount House and Severn View for over 20 years in the catering department and has been recently promoted to Second Chef. He creates well-balanced and nutritional meals using locally sourced ingredients to provide a dining experience to remember for all residents and visitors. Phil also holds nutritional meetings and tailors his daily menus to residents' preferences.

Julie has recently joined us at the Mount House as a Senior Carer and has now been promoted to our Team Leader of Residential Care. She provides support to all of the Care Assistants.

 

Princess Leia

Princess Leia

Pet Therapy Dog

Princess Leia is a registered therapy dog, due to begin her exams at 6 months of age. Her fur is hypoallergenic and she will provide love, support and companionship for residents at Mount House, as well as being part of many fun activities!
