Meet the Mount House and Severn View Team

Hello, I am Kuda the Deputy Manager.  I am an experienced nurse with over 12 years nursing overseas before joining Barchester healthcare in 2016.  I have previously worked in elderly care and in A&E. I have a passion to help lead the team to deliver quality care. I enjoy getting to know every resident and caring for them, making sure they receive the care they deserve every day.  

Hello I am Clare the Community Manager of the Mount House.  I have worked at the Mount House & Severn View for over 5 years initially joining the team as a night carer and progressing to Community Manager.

Hello, my name is Gabriela and I'm a newly qualified nurse. I first started working at Mount House and Severn View in  2015 as a care assistant, having a passion to care for the elderly I decided to study nursing.  I’m now extremely proud to be a nurse at the Mount and to have the opportunity to heal the mind, body and soul of our wonderful residents.

Hello my name is Dominique and I'm one of the Registered Nurse team here at Mount House.

Hello I am Kate the administrator at Mount House and Severn View.  I worked at another Barchester home for 6 years before moving here just over a year ago. I love working in care homes with such wonderful residents and team members.

Hello I am Joyce the Activities Coordinator.  I am new to the care sector having worked as a florist with my own business and I am loving this change of direction.  I am committed to ensuring the residents have a varied activities programme as well celebrating events.  I am following the Barchester Life Enrichment Programme of working with mind, body and soul.  I do also love to dance with the residents when we have an entertainer in!  

Hello my name is Charlotte and I'm the Head Chef here at The Mount House and Severn View.

Hospitality runs through my family from restaurants to bars to bistros. So, it became a natural progression for me to enter into a career in Hospitality. I become a chef and worked in Rosette restaurants until I decided I wanted to be a 'Front of House' manager. I love interacting with different people and trying to put a smile on my customers faces. Now working at The Mount I can finally combine both these skills by providing quality, nutritious meals for our residents.

Hello I am Alfie the Head of Maintenance, I am responsible for maintaining all areas of this beautiful home.  I am a qualified electrician and have worked in care homes for nearly 14 years.  I love chatting to the residents as I work and ensuring the home is a safe environment for all.

Hello I am Sally and I am the Head of Housekeeping at Mount House and Severn View.  I started working here last summer and I am so enjoying working with our wonderful residents while ensuring the home is cleaned to the highest of standards.

Hello I am Rachel and I am the administration assistant and receptionist.  It will generally be myself who answers the phone and door at the home.  I have a varied background working as a hairdresser for many years and former Head of Maintenance at another local Barchester home.

Meet May our Resident Ambassador May.  May is half French and speaks both languages fluently, she lived most of her life with her family in Keswick in Lancashire. May was a nurse and midwife and is very proud to have been a nurse. May says "carers at Mount House are carers with a capital C!”  May loves seeing her two lovely daughters, they have potted beautiful plants outside her room window overlooking the garden. 

Hello I am Katie a newly qualified Care Practitioner.  Having worked in care for 10 years and progressing to Senior Carer, I have been supported by Barchester to train to do the Care Practitioner course.   I am greatly enjoying this new role work alongside the nurses in this lovely home.

Hello I am Winny and I have been a care assistant at Mount House and Severn View for 34 years.  I am currently working nights, over the years I have worked days and nights and I absolutely love my job.

Hello I am Barry and I am one of the care assistants and hydration champions at Mount House and Severn View.  I have worked here for over 3 years, working both nights and days and I enjoy every aspect of my role.

Hello, I am Phil and I have worked at the Mount House and Severn View for over 20 years as part of the hospitality department and now as Second Chef.  I create well-balanced and nutritional meals using locally sourced ingredients to provide a dining experience to remember for all residents and visitors. 

Hello I am Joe and I joined the Mount House and Severn View in 2014 as one of our Kitchen Assistants.  I was then promoted to the home's Maintenance Assistant responsible for maintaining the grounds and buildings, ensuring a safe environment in which to live and work.
