My mum and stepdad are both living at Milford House and they are being very well cared for. The staff go the extra mile to ensure they are comfortable and happy. We wanted to celebrate my daughters 13th birthday in one of the lounges and they allowed us to take over the lounge for a few hours and bring our own cakes and drinks in. But not only that they set up a table with lots of birthday hats, napkins, balloons and decorations, along with their best afternoon tea set. It looked lovely and set the scene for a much needed family get together. Thanks very much to all the staff. All the best. The Baileys and The Tarrants

Milford House is a lovely home and the staff are always friendly, caring and attentive to the residents and visitors. I have visited the home many times now in my capacity as a guitarist and singer providing entertainment to the residents. I always look forward to entertaining at Milford House where the staff really go all out to make residents wishes and events a wonderful experience for them.

A Warm, Homely Environment with Outstanding Support

Milford House in Salisbury is one of the most welcoming and homely care homes I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. The environment is warm, comforting, and truly feels like a home away from home for its residents.

A special mention must go to Scarlett, whose passion and dedication are evident in everything she does. She is a true advocate for resident wellbeing and has played a vital role in raising awareness about the impact of hearing loss within the home. Thanks to her efforts, Milford House is actively addressing this important issue, ensuring that residents with hearing loss are not only supported but empowered to stay connected and engaged.

It’s rare to see such thoughtful, inclusive care, and Milford House is setting a brilliant standard. The team’s genuine care and commitment to wellbeing shine through in every detail.

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering care homes in Salisbury visit Milford House.

I really can't say enough good things about Milford House.
I never wanted to see my grandmother unable to stay in her own home, but here I know she is not just safe and cared for, but is more happy, healthy and active than she has been for a long time.
The staff are fantastic, and genuinely care about the residents and creating a warm, homely atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome.
Each week there are a range of activities (from weaving, yoga, trips out, talks, music to much more) and suggestions are also considered.
The medical side of things is well handled and responsive.
The food is exceptional, with a varied menu and the chef has happily accommodated the needs and requests of my gran.
Oh, and the garden! My grandmother loved gardening, and having such a lovely garden is really wonderful for her. Even moreso after the works that have just been carried out to make it even more easily accessible.
It's hard to praise it highly enough - it's been fantastic as a new home my grandmother and it is a pleasure to visit her each day.

Milford House Care Home was recently part of the Salisbury Art trail. My husband and I went along with our 5 year old son. We were greeted with warmth. The building was lovely and clean, the staff were welcoming and friendly, but most importantly the residents we met seemed happy, they told us all about the things they get up to. It was a really enjoyable morning

I have been visiting family in this home for a while now and I can honestly say that it is the most well established home I have ever seen. The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and supportive to everyone who walks through the doors, resident or visitor. The management is outstanding and you can really feel how much everyone cares for the residents here. The home has a lovely inviting atmosphere and I know that everyone in there is looked after magnificently including all of the staff. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!! Brilliant.

As a music therapist from the national music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins, I am greatly enjoying visiting Milford House each Tuesday and providing music therapy sessions to residents both in groups and in 1:1 sessions. This is a truly wonderful home and I am so impressed by the quality of care, the friendly professionalism of the staff, and the home's imaginative approach to maintaining quality of life for all residents!

My relative moved into the home following a fall. The staff treated her with dignity and made every effort to get her better. She especially enjoyed the creative and music activities. Unfortunately she passed on Christmas Eve. The family also appreciated the warm support the staff gave us both during and after her stay.

My Brother has been in Milford care home for 6 years and I cannot thank all the staff enough for their kindness and care both of my brother and all the family.
It is a very special place where the staff work so hard to ensure that all the residents have the best possible quality of care, tailored to their individual needs both physically and socially.

"I was apprehensive putting my mum in a care home. Well i am so suprised what a fantastic home this is. Beautifully done out lovely rooms but most of all the staff are amazing. The manager, the nurses and the carers are empathetic caring and wonderful. Last week me and my sister thought we were losing out Mother. The Milford care home gave us a room each and all meals. How wonderful of them. The food was lovely and each and everyone of the staff was empathetic and caring. Amazing home I'm so happy my mum is in here. 10/10 to all the staff!"

"The Family of and myself can't thank the general manager and her staff at Milford House Care Home, Salisbury for their truly professional care of our mother. Nothing is too much trouble and their attention to detail and empathy is second to none. Chef ensured she had the food she liked which was very important as we all thought she was passing away the weekend of the 6th March. She was very, very ill and I came over from Spain to be with her, my sister and I were made very welcome and were looked after as if we were in a 5* Hotel. We were all prepared for the worst and then by a miracle she pulled through due to the excellent care of the nursing staff and carers, who guided her through the bad times and of course her loving family. Mum is happy in her lovely room with TV, hairdresser saloon, spa and beautiful gardens. We would highly recommend Milford House for its wide range of facilities and loving care and the experienced management team."

"My mother was extremely worried about going into a care home for respite care. After a couple of days, she said "This is a really nice place to live". By the end of the week, she was calling it home and wanting to stay permanently. My mother is not the easiest of people to please, so a big thank you to all the lovely staff who have made her feel welcome, cared for her needs without fussing and ensured she is happy and comfortable. I am very much relieved that she has been so happy and it is the most relaxed that I have seen my mother since my Dad died. Thank you so much."

"Absolutely fabulous care - treated with respect and dignity at all times. Mum has nothing but praise for all the staff the food and the entertainment. The most important thing for us is we know she is safe and well cared for so even during Covid times we didn't worry unduly."

"After living with increasing support at home, my mother moved into Milford House Care Home about a year and a half ago. During all that time, she has been suffering from Vascular Dementia and struggles to remember anything or to form meaningful sentences. Since moving into the home we have noticed how happy she is. She loves being surrounded by people who are kind and look after her. There are wonderful activities which she thoroughly enjoys. Although she can't express this in her own words, we can see it in her eyes and members of staff tell us lovely stories of the ways she enjoys dancing with them. We can't thank Milford House enough."

"My friend went into the Barchester Milford House Care Home 18 months ago because of incapacity and unable to manage at home even with community care. Everyone at the home was so kind and helpful to special needs. Her room was nicely decorated and with lovely views across the fields. I was able to book and have lunch with her before the restrictions of Covid. She has recently passed away and was treated with dignity, we will all miss her bright smiley face."
