Activities at Middletown Grange Care Home
We aim to provide a variety of activities that will both mentally and physically stimulate the people we support. Residents have a range of different needs and interests, and it is crucial that these are reflected in the activities available, so that each individual is able to participate to the best of their ability. We organise both group and individual social events that everyone is welcome to take part in; there is a weekly outing to local places of interest, including the garden centre and the local farms, parks and museums. In addition, we enjoy regular visits from entertainers and even exotic animals. We also host events such as 'Beach Day' that relatives and friends are encouraged to participate in. Getting involved in charities is a big part of our ethos, so events such as 'PJs for Pudsey' and pirate-themed days are regularly hosted to raise money for different foundations, including the Alzheimer’s Society.

Life at Middletown Grange Care Home
Christmas Trees Up!
Staff and Residents have been busy putting the finishing touches to our Christmas trees; one for each communal area. They all look so pretty... It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas!
Nail Pampers
Our care team are such a lovely lot, this afternoon, in between chores they took time to provide a spot of pampering, with a pop-up nail bar. Our lucky ladies were thrilled with the colour combinations.
Christmas Trees Preparation
In preparation for tomorrow’s '1st Day of Christmas', resident Marion, and Housekeeper Stephanie spend the day building our home Christmas trees; one for each lounge and communal area.
They’ve colour coded each bauble and pretty festive item to ease the decoration process for our resident ‘Christmas elves’. We’ll post pictures of the final displays once the team have finished.
Middletown Grange care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care, full of life enriching activities for all abilities.
Spring Bulb Planting
It's that time of year for bulb-planting. We enjoyed some lovely fresh air as we tidied up our flower beds. #barchester100hoursoutside
Singing & Dancing with Live Entertainment
We have enjoyed some musical guests this month, including the versatile music performance from Bill James and the brilliant piano playing by Chris Beahan. It was great to see the residents, dancing, laughing and clapping along!
Remembrance Day Poppies
Our residents have put in their time and care to create this beautiful cascade of poppies for Remembrance Day.
