Activities at Hugh Myddelton House Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

A Visit from The London Children's Ballet

Residents and staff at Hugh Myddelton House care home in Southgate experienced an afternoon of joy when The London Children’s Ballet came to visit.

Residents at Hugh Myddelton House were blown away by The L C B performance of Anne of Green Gables, as they were danced through the emotive story of 11 year old Orphan Anne, who was sent by mistake to two middle-aged siblings who had intended to adopt a boy to help on their farm. The performers spent time with residents, dancing, talking and taking pictures after the show.

Wine is bottled poetry. Cheers to English Wine Week.

During the week, our residents participated in both indoor and outdoor activities and enjoyed the sunny weather in our garden.

We enjoyed a delicious English wine tasting, some residents participated in the garden whilst others preferred to enjoy from the comfort of the dining room, and we paired our wines with different tasty treats.
