I visited Hugh Middleton Care Centre and was welcomed by Jade, the General Manager of the Centre. She was helpful, kind and above all, knowledgeable and able to help with my enquiry. The premises and rooms were attractive bright and clean. It is a lovely nursing home.

I love coming to Hugh Myddelton house, the staff are very warm and welcoming, always very happy to see me and greet me with such happiness and pleasure, never have i had a bad experience. Honestly, i love Dee completely, always accompanies me and goes far and beyond. Love the attitude, love the people. Seriously, amazing, haven’t come across a care home like this

I’m Rose the hairdresser. And I come to Hugh Middliton to do the president’s hair. I noticed that all the staff are very helpful towards me and other members of the relatives.

The care at Hugh Myddelton is superb. Staff work well together and are very pleasant.
Visitors are always welcomed and are often greeted by their name.

After I moved here in July 2022 I was still feeling very "down" after a significant bereavement in November 2021. The Unit Lead gave me more than my fair share of her time to talk things through, for which I am still very grateful.

I am part of the podiatrist team who visit Hugh Myddleton House, I always enjoy attending this home as staff are always happy and attentive and residents are well cared for and happy. The management and nurses are doing a wonderful job

Hugh Myddleton is a wonderful Care Home to visit. As an entertainer, It’s one of my favourite care homes with a fun loving friendly staff, helping me make things enjoyable for the residents

"My experience of the Barchester Hugh Myddelton is very satisfactory. My sister is cared for, washed, changed, hair coloured. I can ask any carer to feed my sister/wash/change and it's done on the spot. Meals on the menu are fabulous, and fed on time. If I mention my sisters name to any carer/nurse they are aware of whome I am talking about instantly. Her room is kept spotless, and her bathroom clean + tidy."

"My Mum was at Hugh Myddelton for the last four weeks of her life. The care she received was wonderful - we could not have wished for anywhere better for her, or nicer, kinder, more loving people to care for her. She was treated with kindness, dignity and respect, and the care extended to our whole family. We were welcomed at any time of day or night, and the staff took a genuine interest in us as a family, not just seeing Mum as a patient. We cannot express strongly enough our gratitude to all the staff for making Mum's last few weeks of life as full of love and care as they possibly could have been. Thank you."

"Our father was happy, content and well cared for here. The wide range of activities on offer, connecting often with the outside world was stimulating and meant that our father slept less during the day. There were no smells here. The home was warm and very clean, and the front of house team was welcoming. The menu was very varied and enjoyed by our father. The carers did their job well, and the management team were always available to discuss any concerns (which were few). The link with the local GP was good, and she took the time to contact us on occasions. Our father was a resident during the pandemic, but he was able to have a designated visitor to his room so his family were able to visit most days, hugely appreciated. Some of the staff did over and above what was expected of them. The rooms are small, but we were able to accommodate a recliner from home. We feel confident to leave our father in the care of the Hugh Myddelton team. Thank you."

"All nurses, carers and management are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are excellent and always clean and tidy. My wife is treated with dignity and carers/nurses keep me well informed on all matters. Unable to really comment on the activities as my wife has until very recently been unable to take part in them, however, I would say the weekly schedule appears very well planned and appropriate."

"My mother has been looked after very well her medical needs have been met. There have been activities organised for all the residents which have been very interesting. There is an online system for booking visits which is easy to use."
