Activities at Burwood Grange Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Burwood Grange Care Home

Back to School Wisdom
As the school year starts soon, our residents at Burwood Grange have been busy preparing some special messages for our local school children.
They've shared their most inspirational and motivating words of wisdom to help the children kick off the term with a smile!!!

Oh we do like to be beside the sea-side
What a glorious day of sea and sunshine at Hayling Island
This weeks trip out was to the sea-side and it was lovely to hear that one of or lovely residents Don used to live there. A lovely trip down memory lane
Of course we had a lovely lunch of fish and chips and a Mr Whippy cone.

Trauma Teddies
Staff and Residents are busy knitting at Burwood Grange.
At the weekly Knit and Natter group we have started a project to knit Trauma Teddies for a worthy cause. Once finished they are given to children who may have suffered abuse and or hardship to offer comfort and a feeling of safety.
A very worthy cause and a pleasure to do. Cant wait to see all the beautiful Teddies take shape

Nails and Pamper Day
Our ladies at Burwood Grange love their nails and pamper day. One lady always chooses a lovely colour to match her outfit.
Then its the waiting for them to dry before morning tea and home made cake or it could be our delicious home made peanut butter cookies or shortbread

Art Afternoon
Yesterday we held a still life drawing and painting class on canvas using one our beautiful ornaments in the home.
I can honestly say we have some real artists amongst our group of residents as you can see!!!
A popular class to be repeated

Anyone For Croquet
What better way to spend the afternoon with a game of croquet, or perhaps Ring Toss or Giant Jenga.
There's always a happy atmosphere with lots of fun and laughter and that's what we like to see. Of course home made cake with a cup of tea or perhaps a Pimms in the afternoon is always available.
