Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

As the Activity Co-Ordinator at Burwood Grange, I feel so proud to be part of such a caring and dedicated team. I look forward to creating memorable experiences, organising daily activities that bring joy, connection, and laughter which is not just my role-its my passion. Whether we are heading out on an outing or piecing together a jigsaw puzzle, every moment spent together is meaningful. Celebrating life at Burwood Grange Care Home

Superb day out!

Residents from Burwood Grange recently enjoyed a superb lunch outing at The Ivy Cobham Grange, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. Surrounded by elegant decor and warm hospitality, they indulged in delicious food and shared laughter over coffee and conversation.

Flower arranging afternoon

Residents recently had a calm, lovely afternoon of flower arranging with fresh blooms, gentle hands and the simple joy of slowing down and being present.

Flowers make everything look brighter and happier, so the residents really enjoy spending time making flower arrangements that are then displayed all around the home.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from us all at Burwood Grange. We have had some fun creating some friendly characters in our pumpkins and enjoyed watching them take shape

Tap Dance Performance

We had a lovely treat yesterday when Katie an amazing tap dancer entertained us all at the home. She was so talented and everyone really enjoyed the show

Happy Birthday Nina

Many Happy Returns to our lovely Nina.

Nina was joined by friends and family as they joined to wish her a wonderful day.

Head Chef Manesh baked and decorated the most beautiful chocolate Birthday cake and there were glasses of Prosecco chinking in the Bistro and as we all raised a glass to wish Nina well.

Flower Hour in the Bistro

The bistro was filled with colour, creativity, and the sweetest conversations as Burwood Grange Florists held a beautiful flower arranging session.

From fresh blooms to thoughtful guidance, every moment felt calm, joyful, and a little bit magical. Residents trimmed, arranged, and created stunning pieces to spread around the home all while enjoying the lovely atmosphere of the bistro.

It’s amazing what happens when creativity and good coffee come together.

A special thank you to Burwood Grange Florists for bringing such beauty into the room.

What's on at Burwood Grange

Life enrichment activities are a great way to build a sense of community between residents. Today our residents got competitive with some fun filled games with lots of laughs, teamwork and a little friendly rivalry! It’s always wonderful to see everyone so engaged and smiling.

Ballroom Bliss with Simon

Simon is always a welcome visitor at Burwood Grange. He always manages to have everyone on their feet and dancing to their favourite songs

Elvis is in the House

Burwood Grange was transformed into Graceland as we swayed and swooned with Elvis as he sang all his well known hits

It is estimated that Elvis has sold over one billion records worldwide so to honour the undisputed King of Rock & Roll, the staff and residents enjoyed a fantastic morning of music, fun and dancing.

Our Domino Champions

When its cold and rainy outside there's nothing better than to play your favourite board games and Ron and Jim often have a few games of Dominoes before lunch.

They are both very competitive and I wonder who won today ?

Therapy Dog Visit at Burwood Grange

The smiles we can see from the residents when Smithy the Therapy Dog visits says it all when it comes to gentle companioship, soft fur to stroke and a calming presence that made the visit extra special.

Moments like these spark memories, reduce stress and create a real sense of connection for everyone involved.

We're grateful for the comfort and happiness these visits bring to our home.

Burwood Grange Kindness Kiosk

The Kindness Kiosk thet is led by the resident Ambassador is bringuing smiles and sense of reward to residents through a simple but meaningful idea. By taking part in daily activities and games, residents earn tokes that can be exchanged on daily essentials and tasty treats at the in house shop.

More then just a kiosk, the initiative encourages participation, celebrates achievement and creates a positive community atmosphere where everyone's efforts are recognised.

A visit from Cossins House

What a lovely afternoon with a visit from some residents from our sister home Cossins House.

After a chat and a nice cuppa and slice of home made cake we all had a lovely walk in the Autumn sunshine with new friends made.

Mexican independance Day

We celebrated in style to celebrate Mexican Independance Day with a morning of learning everything about the different cities and wonders of Mexico. Then in the afternoon Simon put us through our paces teaching us some salsa and Cha Cha Cha.

Residents families and the community enjoyed Margaritas cocktails, and a delicious buffet of Mexican food including Tacos and Fajitas.

We had the conga and dancing and lots and lots of fun.

Iggy and Gracie Our Pet Therapy Dogs

At Burwood Grange we have not one but two Pet Therapy Dogs who are so welcomed and everyone, residents, staff and families come for a cuddle and give treats.

Such a welcome visitor at Burwood Grange. Hot off the Press we are soon to have 3 dogs but will keep you all posted.
