Meet the team
Our trained team of professionals work together to create the best possible experience for those living in the home, striving to deliver excellent care services in a warm, homely environment. You can find out more about some of our wonderful staff members below:
Thank you for taking the time to look further into what Brookfield has to offer.
Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team and shown here are our Heads of Department. Each one of them plays a vital role in the day to day running of the home. I have been in care now since 2002 beginning life as a carer here at Brookfield and then in 2006 I was delighted to be promoted to General Manager. What I love most about my job is caring for people - I love to take time out of my busy day to go round and speak with the residents. I am truly passionate about ensuring that all the ladies and gents who live here with us are provided with the very best care and as a team we all support them to live a healthy and happy life.
Jane is our Deputy Manager who joined the company in 2004 as a Care Assistant. In 2009 Jane was promoted to Senior Care Practitioner then later to Deputy General Manager.
Jane supports the General Manager plus all other staff. Jane is very approachable and is willing to undertake any task that is allocated. Jane also participates in fund-raising, activities with residents and also an occasional cook! She is also great at counselling for residents and families.
Jane lives at home with her husband who is now retired and they have been together for 36 years. She has 2 children and 5 grandchildren, the latest additions arrived 2 weeks apart in August this year.
Jane likes to travel and likes to holiday a couple or more times a year to see the world.
Jane loves music and follows lots of musicians on Twitter, especially Harry Stiles and Zane Malik. She also enjoys going to concerts and festivals.
Having joined us in November 2008, Jeanette is a hugely integral part of the team. When asked what she likes best about the job, Jeanette replied by saying with a giggle: 'Sarah (GM) says I've got to say her! But we do get on really well and I really do love working for her. It's great to be able to see everything through from start to finish and it's really nice to be able to help families as they try to navigate their way through maze that is care fees funding.'
In her spare time Jeanette loves to spend time with her family, particularly all her grandchildren.
Hi, my name is Lisa and I have worked within the home since July 2018, starting out as a carer before moving into the activities role at the beginning of 2019. I am very outgoing and full of fun. I have many hobbies, with arts & crafts being one of my favourites, and this can be seen in the activities I arrange for our residents.
Outside of work I have a passion for running and have successfully completed the London Marathon raising funds for charity of which I am immensely proud of.
Lisa’s enthusiasm when planning the homes calendar of activities is to ensure that residents are happy and have loads of fun. Lisa is very keen to involve the residents in the decision making within the home to enhance their experience. Activities take part in the residents' meetings, catering forums to ensure that the events run smoothly.
Alex went to catering college in Warrington and studied Hospitality Management at Manchester University. He then went on to work in hotels in Manchester, working his way up to Head Chef in 3 and 4 star hotels.
James joined our team at the end of 2017 and he has brought a wealth of experience with him which he puts to good use, maintaining the home and ensuring that the building and grounds are always kept to a high standard.
Marie is Head of Laundry here at Brookfield, she joined us in 2007 as a Care Assistant then transferred to Housekeeping in 2014.
She is solely in charge of all laundry, alterations and ironing. Marie also makes certain that all residents belongings are always returned to their rightful owners. Marie enjoys holidays abroad, walking and reading crime novels.
Jim moved to Brookfield in 2014 with his wife, Olwen, who unfortunately passed away in 2016. Jim has continued to enjoy his life at Brookfield and loves joining in with the activities. He also has regular visits from his loved ones and often goes out with them for the day. He is an integral part of oue home and a good counsel for those who wish to talk.
Pauline has been with us since April 2019. She is head of housekeeping here at Brookfield. She oversees 2 members of staff and is responsible for making sure our home is always clean and tidy.
Pauline has 4 children and 6 grandchildren who she loves to holiday with. She also likes eating out at various restaurants and going to the cinema on a regular basis.
She enjoys car boot sales and also has a dog called Bruno who is 3 years old who she loves taking out on walks.
Sara is one of our Senior Carers here at Brookfield she has been with the company for 15 years and started as a care assistant in 2004 but has been in the profession for almost 30 years. Sara works both day and night shifts and is very approachable and reliable. She is responsible for administering medications and updating daily notes and residents care plans.
Sara had a brief break when she opened up her own sweet shop in Lymm village. Which proved to be very successful.
She has 3 children, one of which has just obtained a Master’s Degree in Law. Sara has recently received employee of the month.
Dave has worked at Brookfield for over 10 years and the home's beautiful gardens are a real credit to all his hard work and dedication. When asked what he likes best about working here – it’s just about everything! ‘Who wouldn’t like a job doing what you love best – gardening!’ When not enjoying the great outdoors, Dave entertains Rresidents with his singing of songs from yesteryear. Dave is also an avid horse racing fan and recently became part owner in a syndicate for a race horse called Hexagon.
Outside of work, Dave loves to watch a spot of football or rugby – and follows Man City and Warrington Wolves. Dave has another part time job as well – so just manages to squeeze the home into his busy week – so if you need a spot of Fork Lift Truck training – he’s your man!
