Activities at Broadway Halls Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Scott Bates

Activities Coordinator

Hi I'm Scott, and I am thrilled to be the Activities Coordinator at Broadway Halls. Our residents are special people with many wonderful stories to tell about their lives, I enjoy putting smiles on their faces as often as I can. I love to 'entertain' and aim to ensure that every resident's interests and hobbies are supported. I have worked in care and in activities in previous roles, and I love my job!

Busking for Charity

What a great morning's entertainment from Black Country Radio Billy and Tim busking for charity with their singalong performance. Everyone joined in, it was a fabulous start to the day!

Remembrance Sunday Parade

We enjoyed the Remembrance parade & seeing all the community come to together on this special occasion all paying their respects. It was touching to see everyone in uniform, the band to sea-cadets, scouts, rainbows & our Mayor.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Eating black country's finest orange battered chips, back to school lessons & experiencing old cinema days again. Also visiting all the lovely shops & classic vehicles & seeing where Peaky Blinders was filmed was fabulous.

Planters On Our Balcony are Looking Good

The weather was dry so we finished off planting our winter shrubs on castle view balcony.  You can see Dudley castle & the local Dudley area from here.  Residents enjoy spending time on the balcony to see the stunning views.

A Wish Came True With a Trip to RAF Cosford

Ronald was based at RAF Cosford when he was only 17 years old back in the 1940’s. 80 years later he got the chance to visit Cosford thanks to the team of Broadway Halls planning this surprise trip for him. Ronald told his stories to staff at Cosford & thoroughly enjoyed his trip down memory lane.

TG Singers from Sedgley Entertain

Recently we were lucky enough to have the wonderful TG Singers Sedgley Choir, singing songs from throughout the decades of our majesty The Queen’s Reign.
