Meet the Boroughbridge Manor Care Home Team

Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:

Mark Hurst

General Manager

Hi, my name is Mark and I am General Manager here at Boroughbridge Manor. Welcome to our website!

Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.

Prior to joining the Boroughbridge Manor Family, I was a Regional Manager for; Sanctuary Care, Four Seasons, HC One and a number of small private providers across the UK. With over 25 years’ experience in Health and Social Care, I remain resident focused and ensure that all of our residents have an excellent quality of life, daily. I enjoy meeting and supporting family members of our residents to further enhance the experience and quality of care for our residents.

I have held successful Regional roles but prefer direct involvement with residents and staff and therefore recently took on the role as General Manager here at the home. I also have a background in HR, Training and Learning and Development, and have a real passion for encouraging staff to develop their knowledge and understanding of person centred care for the residents we care for.

Myself and my team look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Louisa Pedder

Administrator

I have been working for Barchester since January 2020 and Boroughbridge Manor since 2014. I started as a Hostess and moved to Receptionist in 2016, before being promoted to Administrator in 2017.

I deal with all aspects of the administration in the home to ensure it runs smoothly, including ordering, recruitment, setting up contracts and manning the telephones. There's never a dull day!

Shelbie Taylor

Head of Activities

Hi my name is Shelbie, I have recently been promoted to Head of Activities here at Boroughbridge Manor.

I have worked at Boroughbridge Manor for 7 years, I love making our residents smile. I get great satisfaction knowing I have made someone’s day better!

Myself, Leoni and Suzanne have created a wonderful culture within Boroughbridge Manor and we work together to give our residents the best possible experiences.

We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. We ensure the team knows each residents' preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centred program of events and activities. We are extremely fortunate to have our very own minibus, we love taking the residents out for coffee, shopping and lots of fun trips out whether that be to the museum or the seaside.
