Mike Parsons awarded London Business School's top accolade

Mike Parsons has been honoured with the London Business School's annual Alumni Achievement Award.

The award - one of the most prestigious distinctions the London Business School bestows - recognises a member of the alumni community who has been very successful in business, politics, academia or within the community, and is a recognised leader in his/her field. Following a nomination it is voted on by the Business School's 30,000 alumni members.

Mike Parsons, chief executive officer and founder of Barchester Healthcare, said: "I am very honoured to accept this award and to be associated with such distinguished business leaders.

"I am also very glad to see that our focus on high quality care, in every aspect of Barchester, is the real winner – but most of all for the people that live in our homes."

Following lunch at the Dean's home, Mike was presented with his award by Mr Hussein Khanji, a member of the International Alumni Council.

This latest award follows a string of awards to Mike’s company, Barchester Healthcare so far this year.

After being rated as the Sunday Times 25 Best Big Companies To Work For in March, Barchester was also named in the Britain’s Top Employers rankings.

Other achievements include the Special Contribution Award at Pinders Healthcare Design Awards and the company also scooped the top award in three categories at the national Workforce Development Awards ceremony.
