How to combat cellulite

As women age it is a fact of life that many will develop cellulite and females can become incredibly distressed by this.

However, there are things that people can do to prevent it occurring, according to Gerda Ankenbauer-Spetch, acupuncturist and cosmetic acupuncturist and founder of www.HealingTheWholeYou.co.uk.

The specialist claims that diet is one of the major contributors to cellulite and it is important to "avoid fatty foods and full-fat dairy produce, refined carbohydrates and sugary foods (honey is permitted) as well as raw and cold foods like salads".

Drinking warm water throughout the day and massaging an area affected by cellulite can also help.

Additionally, Ms Ankenbauer-Spetch recommends acupuncture, as it clears the blockages of the damp and fatty tissue that causes cellulite.

Acupuncture can also be helpful in restoring balance to the body, she adds.

Another great way to combat cellulite is to partake in plenty of exercise and this prevents fat build up and pumps blood around the body.
