Meet the team

Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:

Kathleen Liang

Acting General Manager

Hello, my name is Kathleen Liang and I am the Deputy Manager acting as General Manager here at Wykeham House. I joined the home in July 2017.

I started my career as a Carer when I was 18. After qualifying, I held a number of posts in Dorset, including as an RGN, Clinical Lead and Head of Care. I therefore have a wide range of experience with elderly, physically frail and dementia residents.

You can rest assured that I will use my knowledge and skills to provide a supportive environment for both staff and residents. I will ensure that we deliver a quality, person-centred service to those we support.

If you have any queries or concerns about any aspect of nursing care or the medical management of your loved one, please do not hesitate to speak to me – my door is always open.

Kathy Lambert

Administrator

I have worked at Wykeham House since 2 January 1997, three months after the home was opened. I started as a part-time Administrative Assistant before becoming the Administrator on 1 October 1998. I achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration in 2001. I deal with the business and finance of the home, working closely with the General Manager.

I work with a great team of people and no two days are ever the same at Wykeham House which I like very much. During my time at the home, I have met some amazing people - they have been staff, residents and relatives, many of whom have moved on and I still keep in touch with some of them.

Richard Hill

Head of Maintenance

My name is Richard, but people call me Ricardo, Taffy or Welshman, among other named!

I have worked at Wykeham House for over 10 years. I was employed as the Head Chef for the first 5 years, however, since then, l have worked as the Head of Maintenance.

I love my role, as no two days are the same! One minute l am plumber, then next an electrician, then a painter & decorator – just to name a few of the things l do!

The residents are foremost in my thinking and I believe our elders should always be treated with dignity and politeness and, above all, respect. I also enjoy the banter you get with residents and it is nice to hear some of their life stories.
