Meet the Woodside House Care Home team
Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:
Hi, my name is Elena and I am the General Manager here at Woodside. Welcome to our website, please feel free to contact me to talk about what our wonderful home can offer.
I have over twenty years of experience as a nurse and I am very passionate about my work. I have always ensured that residents receive the best care and are treated with respect and dignity.
My vision is to create a 'home from home' environment, where residents are actively involved in organising events, making decisions, and planning their care.
Our door is always open to visitors who want to experience our family-friendly atmosphere and I am always ready to speak to anyone who is starting to explore their future care needs.
My name is Melanie and I have the privilege of being the Deputy Manager here at Woodside House.
Throughout my nursing career, in both the NHS and private sectors, I have brought my passion for delivering high quality care to those I support, whilst also upholding their privacy and dignity.
Woodside House is a brilliant place to work as we have such a supportive and inclusive environment. My whole team is involved with ensuring that each resident receives personalised care that helps them to enjoy life to the full.
My name is Amy and I joined Woodside House in 2011 as a Registered General Nurse and now I am the Head of Unit for our Willow and Sycamore communities.
I am responsible for ensuring that all of my residents receive the highest standards of care and are treated with the level of dignity and respect that I would want for my family to receive. We have a very experienced team and several of the staff have been here for many years and are great friends with the residents.
We love welcoming new residents and helping them to join our little community, each new person brings their own personality to the mix and it is wonderful to see everyone making new friends as they settle in.
My name is Angelica and I am fortunate to be the Head of our Memory Lane community.
My team and I strive to ensure that the residents at Woodside House are given the best possible, personalised care at all times. I know how I would want my family to be treated and that is the standard that I set for my team.
My team is trained to the highest standards and are proud of the wonderful care that they provide to those living with dementia. We will do our utmost to support every resident to live the fullest, most enriched life they can.
Sally is the home's Administrator and joined us in January 2018. Her role involves supporting the General Manager and taking responsibility for all the financial and administration aspects of the home.
My name is Sam and I lead our Activities Team at Woodside House.
I have been at Woodside House since 2004 and I love it here. I am responsible for ensuring that the residents are able to participate in sociable, fun and rewarding activities. My team and I are very passionate about our work and love putting smiles on the residents' faces.
We involve the residents in the planning of our activity calendars and encourage residents to continue with the hobbies that they have enjoyed throughout their lives. We will support every resident to try new things and we love learning from our residents every day.
My name is Kim and I am proud to run the kitchen team here at Woodside House.
I am responsible for providing a top class dining experience and ensuring that the menus reflect the high standards that every resident should enjoy. I am constantly speaking with residents to find out what foods they prefer, the way they like things presented and how I can make every meal a great experience.
Working with the care staff to ensure each resident's unique dietary requirements are met, is just one of the ways that my kitchen team support the health and well-being of our residents. I spend time with each new resident to ensure that my team and I are aware of their preferences and favourites when they first move in to Woodside.
Tony is responsible for ensuring that every aspect of Health and Safety has been observed, that everything is working well and Woodside House remains a well-maintained and presented 'home-from-home.'
My name is Kelly and I am the Head of Housekeeping here at Woodside House.
My responsibilities include leading our housekeeping team to making sure that the home is spotlessly clean at all times. We take care of all aspects of housekeeping so that our residents can relax and know that everything is taken care of for them.
