Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:

Elena Sandu

General Manager

Hi, my name is Elena and I am the General Manager here at Woodside. I hope you find what you're looking for on our website.

I have over 19 years of experience in the nursing sector and am very passionate about my work. I always ensure that residents receive the best care and are treated with respect and dignity.

Part of my vision is to create a 'home from home' environment, where residents are actively involved in organising events. Our door is always open to visitors who want to experience our family-friendly atmosphere.

Melanie Burnett

Deputy Manager

I have nursing experience in both the NHS and private sectors of healthcare. I am passionate about delivering high quality care to those I support, whilst respecting their privacy and dignity.

Amy Fulga

Head of Willow Sycamore

Amy joined Woodside in 2011 as a Registered Nurse and is now in charge of our Willow and Sycamore communities. Amy is responsible for ensuring that all of her residents receive the highest standards of care and are treated with dignity and respect.

Angelica Badescu

Head of Memory Lane

Angelica is the Head of our Memory Lane community, and ensures that residents are given the best possible care and treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Sally Dack

Sally Dack


Sally is the home's Administrator and joined us in January 2018. Her role involves supporting the General Manager and taking responsibility for all the financial and administration aspects of the home.

Sam Lake

Activities Coordinator

Sam leads our activities team at Woodside House. She has been at Woodside for 16 years, working in care and activities, and is now responsible for ensuring that there is always something for residents to do. Sam is very passionate about her work and loves putting smiles on the residents' faces.

Head Chef

Kim is in charge of the kitchen team here at Woodside and joined us in 2017. She is responsible for providing a high class dining experience and ensuring that the food offered to residents meets all their dietary requirements.

Head of Maintenance

Tony is responsible for ensuring that every aspect of Health and Safety has been observed, that everything is working well and Woodside House remains a well-maintained and presented 'home-from-home.'

Kelly Mitchell

Kelly Mitchell

Head Housekeeper

Kelly is responsible for leading our housekeeping team, making sure that the home is spotlessly clean and hygienic. She also ensures that her team provides a well run Laundry.
