Wadhurst Manor Care Home in Wealden

Wadhurst Manor Care Home delivers nursing and residential care, as well as dedicated dementia care in one of Barchester’s unique Memory Lane Communities. This 65-bed home is ideally set in a beautiful 11-acre site, close to the community of Wadhurst, which has rail links to nearby Tunbridge Wells, London and the coast.

Dementia Care

'Memory Lane' utilises a careful blend of skills and techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, incorporating person-centred design in its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home, whilst thoughtful interior design features, such us adapted crockery and tableware assists with reminiscence. Communities are broken up into separate units with a family feel so people can feel safe and comfortable. Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.

Our team of highly qualified nurses and well-trained care staff focus on the individual needs of each resident, developing a tailored care plan for each person. The care team is supported by our equally dedicated catering, housekeeping, maintenance and administration teams, who work to meet the interests and needs of everyone we support.

The home is designed to be a warm and welcoming ‘home from home’ in the truest sense. There is a range of comfortable lounges and elegant dining rooms to suit people who enjoy socialising, as well as those who prefer quieter activities. At the heart of the home is a welcoming coffee lounge, where residents can sit and chat, partake in one of our many activities or simply just relax.

We welcome you to come and experience Wadhurst Manor for yourself to truly appreciate the difference we make to residents’ lives.
