Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Nicole Benn
Hello. My name is Nicole, and I am the General Manager here at Spen Court. Welcome to our website.
My aim is to ensure residents, staff, families and visitors all feel they are in a caring, welcoming environment and being supported by every member of our team.
I began my career as a Carer at the age of 18 and have gained experience and qualifications holding my Diploma Level 7 within management to progress to my current role. Barchester has a high standard of care and superior lifestyle delivered throughout the company, and I endeavour to deliver those same values in our home.
I always enjoy spending time with residents and their families, and am always available for a chat about our home, staff, services and most importantly, our residents.

Kirsty Bamford
Hi, my name is Kirsty and I have worked at Spen Court since 2012, I have had a good progressive career, beginning as a care assistant and eventually progressing to a senior care assistant, team leader to my most recent post as Deputy General Manager. I love every aspect of my role, I am dedicated, hardworking and compassionate.
My Team and I are committed to delivering a high quality care with our residents at the heart of everything we do.

Keri Young
I have worked at Spen Court since November 2008, I deal with all aspects of the administration in the home to ensure it runs smoothly, I have built good relationships with residents, relatives and the team, I enjoy every day at Spen Court and love my job.

Angela Blackburn
My name is Angela and I am the Head Activities Coordinator here at Spen Court. I get so much satisfaction out of knowing I have made a difference to people’s days and have filled the home with a sense of community and happiness.
We feel it is important to build community connections and maintain our resident’s social interaction outside the care home.
We ensure we deliver a person-centered program of events and activities and build strong relationships with our residents, their families and friends.

Mark Bamford
Hi, My name is Mark and I am the Maintenance person for Spen Court, I have many years’ experience working in general maintenance, I am happy to help the residents with all their maintenance requirements and enjoy chatting to the residents as I go about my work.

Sue Wilkinson
I have worked at Spen Court since 2009, I love spending time with the residents especially when they want to help me with the domestic duties, myself and my team work hard every day to ensure the residents environment is clean, tidy and a relaxed space for them to socialise.

Samerah Latif
Hi, my name is Samerah and I joined Spen Court one year ago as a Care Assistant, in which I then progressed to a Senior Care Assistant in May of this year. I take pride in my job ensuring all the residents get given the highest standards of care.
I always go above and beyond for each individual I care for, always making sure they start the day and end the day with a smile on their faces. I love having a platform where I can better myself professionally and personally".

Paula Smith
Hi, my name is Paula and I joined Spen Court as a Care Assistant after many years of experience working with the elderly. I take pride in my job ensuring all the residents get given the highest standards of care. I enjoy spending time with the residents and making an impact on their days.

Anna Mcgoldrick
Hi, my name is Anna and I joined Spen Court Care Home earlier this year. I have a real passion for care and especially enjoy working with our memory lane community. I have many years of experience and I’m currently undergoing development to progress to a senior care assistant.

Diane Bamford
Hi, my name is Diane and I am a care assistant at Spen court care home, I’ve worked at Spen court for approximately 2 years now and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. There’s something so special about caring for the elderly and giving back to them. I particularly enjoy having a cup of tea and a chat with them.

Kathryn Oliver
Hi, my name is Kathryn and I work at Spen Court, I’ve worked at Spen over the last year whilst completing a degree at university. I enjoy spending time with the residents and making a difference in their day to day lives. I have a passion for everything working in the care industry has to offer especially singing and dancing when we have entertainment at the home.
