"What an incredible place Red Oaks is. The staff are so kind and caring. The are friendly to all residents and family when they visit. My father was made to feel very special and enjoyed his time at Red Oaks making new friends with the staff and residents."

"In a year of residence my husband has received excellent personal care and nursing. All staff at Red Oaks are kind and caring and do their utmost to ensure the well being, dignety and welfare of all residents. As a regular visitor I always feel welcome and am encouraged to liaise over all aspects of my husband's care. I cannot fault Red Oaks."

"When my father was discharged from the hospital I shortlisted a few nursing homes which had the best CQC ratings. I visited them all and Red Oaks was by far the best. It has impressive grounds, a lovely courtyard and lounge area, the rooms are well-equipped and maintained and comfortable and the food is really good. But the main difference is the team that they have. They really have invested in their people and without exception they are engaged and caring people who really looked after my father. His floor have a team of nurses, care practitioners and care assistants, all of whom are professional but also delightful, helpful and genuinely caring. The difference was when it came to the inevitable. I can't thank the team enough for all their care and affection and it is heartwarming to know he was made so comfortable in the final stages. A really top nursing home is all about 'the team' and they have created the right atmosphere for their staff to work and residents to live."

When my father was discharged from the PRH hospital we had to find a nursing home for him. Not having gone through this process before it was all very new, so I did a lot of research as I needed to guarantee my father would be happy and comfortable bearing in mind he really did not want to go into a ‘home’. I shortlisted a few which had the best CQC ratings. I visited them all and, to be honest, they were all good. But Red Oaks was by far the best. Yes, it has impressive grounds, a lovely courtyard and lounge area, the rooms are well-equipped and maintained and comfortable and the food is really good. But the main difference is the team that they have. They really have invested in their people and without exception they are engaged and caring people who really looked after my father. He was even encouraging me to move in, I’m not quite there yet! On his floor they have a team of nurses, Virginia, Karen and Connie, care practitioners and care assistants, I can’t name them all in case I miss one off by mistake, all of whom are professional but also delightful, helpful and genuinely caring. The social programme is created by a team of two, Chris and Sue who are always active and encouraging social interaction. The catering team that provide lovely meals, even Mark, who delivers the meals when they want to eat in their room is a character.

The difference was when it came to the inevitable. I can’t thank the team enough for all their care and affection and it is heartwarming to know he was made so comfortable in the final stages. A really top nursing home is all about ‘the team’ and they have created the right atmosphere for their staff to work and residents to live. I can’t rate Red Oaks team highly enough.

She was able to live her last couple of years as independently as was possible, vital given her life and character. Amazing care home. My father has been in Red Oaks for 16 happy months. He enjoys all the extensive entertainment which is so comforting. The staff are brilliant and so caring. I have a very good relationship with the staff which makes everything so simple. I can sleep well knowing he is being so well cared for.

Garden & Arts Finale was amazing! Great selection of stalls, live music and fab food. It was lovely to see all the residents enjoying themselves with their family and friends. Well done to all the staff for organising such a wonderful event.

Wonderful day at Garden and arts in red Oaks garden. Music was great. Tottington Woodlanders enjoyed the day. Should be even nicer tomorrow when the forecast is better.

Barchester - red oaks has been very welcoming when I came to the garden and arts festival. They were very accommodating to physical needs ensuring that I had a postion that met my needs. All of the staff members were friendly and very nice throught the whole event. It was a lovely event all round set in a lovely setting.

"Our recently deceased Dad spent the last two and half years of his life at Red Oaks. We have nothing but praise for this care home and without exception, the staff who work there. He sometimes referred to it as his 'hotel' and it was that and so much more. He was treated at all times with great love and affection and nothing was too much trouble for the carers and nursing staff. They made sure his final days were comfortable and dignified and for this and everything else, we are extremely grateful. We will miss you all."

"I came here for a week's respite before going home, after a hip operation. I had been to visit a friend who had stayed for respite in Red Oaks and was impressed by the care she received. I live locally and knew of Red Oaks. I have been well looked after and benefitted from the week here. Carers are attentive. Excellent menu choices each day. My room was in the older part of the building, hot water took its time to reach the bathroom!"
