Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:

Daniel Hart

General Manager

Hi, my name is Daniel, and I am the General Manager here at North Park. Welcome to our website!

Thank you for taking the time to look further into what North Park has to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.

I have had a good and progressive career, starting off in care, but venturing into security and retail, before returning back to care in 2009. I eventually worked my way up to senior management level, then on to dual registration. My career path has been enjoyable and I look forward to starting my NVQ Level 7, as a means of furthering my own career knowledge to support my growth within roles. I am kind and compassionate and I focus on providing a safe, warm and caring environment for everyone I support.

I am very proud of achieving an 'Outstanding' rating from the CQC in my previous care home, and the way this gave a great boost to a team. Any form of merit is a group achievement, and when celebrated together, creates an amazing workplace atmosphere, which rubs off on everyone.

Lisa Frame

Deputy Manager

Hi I’m Lisa, the Deputy Manager here at North Park. I have worked for Barchester for just over 4 years now, starting off as a senior carer and working my way up to Deputy Manager.

I have worked for the care sector since 2002 in various care settings, including other care homes and hospitals.     I am very passionate about providing high quality person centred care to those we support.

Lyndsay Thompson


Lyndsay is the administrator at North Park. She assists the manager with all aspects of administration and finance within the home. Lyndsay started her career at North Park in May 2019 and has over 20 years of administration experience.

Lyndsay is married with 2 children, who have grown up and ‘fled the nest’. Her family life has kept her busy over the the past 2 decades, travelling around the world with the Armed Forces. When Lyndsay is not busy at work, she enjoys entertaining guests and making memories with friends and family.

Claire Liddy

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Claire, and I am an Activities Coordinator at North Park. I have 12 years’ experience in the role and absolutely love my job. I like to involve the local community in events within the home, so we have connections with local churches, schools and community groups. We have a PAT dog that visits weekly, so our residents can enjoy pet therapy, and lots of external entertainers, who come into the home regularly as well; in addition to fairs, monthly coffee morning and so much more.

Activities Coordinator

Hi I’m Mel one of the activities coordinators here at North Park. I have only been with Barchester a few months, but am enjoying my new role and encouraging the residents to engage and try new activities.

I have worked in a wide variety of care and learning disability roles and hope to bring my experience into North Park.

Kevin Whiffin

Head Chef

Hi I’m Kevin, the head chef here at North Park. I have been a qualified chef for 25 years, gaining lots of knowledge and experience working in hotels and restaurant kitchens.

I have recently changed career paths and branched out to the care sector, where I hope to bring my knowledge into the care sector, and learn new skills along the way.

Head of Maintenance

Hi I’m Paul the head of Maintenance I am a qualified heating engineer of 15 years and I have a passion for care due to my late father being diagnosed with dementia, I saw how passionate and caring staff were and saw this as an opportunity to change my career path and work in an elderly setting.

I am passionate about the people we care for and want to be part of a team that’s dedicated to the care of this nature.

Head of Housekeeping

Hi I’m Elaine and I’m the Head housekeeper here at North Park. I have been with Barchester for 6 months. I have worked for over 10 years as a housekeeper with various care companies. I really enjoy my role, especially the interaction with the residents.

Kirsty Chapman

Lead Senior Carer

Hi I’m Kirsty the lead senior here at North Park. I have worked for Barchester for 12 years, starting off as a care assistant and working my way up to my current role.

I really enjoy my role and being part of the team, providing high quality care to those we support.


Pet Therapist

Hi, my name is Iona, and I joined the North Park team in January 2020.  I was formerly placed at Darlington’s Greyhound Trust before moving here, and I love to hang out around the home. I am also available for room visits. I am often wandering around in reception, as it’s a great place to greet our visitors, especially at tea time, so please come and say hi. I look forward to meeting you!

I have settled well and I enjoy my daily walks with the residents around the park. I receive cuddles in abundance and already feel like part of the family.
