Our wonderful team comprises nurses, carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:
Hi, my name is Rachel and I am the General Manager here at Marple Dale Care Centre. Welcome to our website!
I have worked at Marple Dale for many years in a number of different roles. I started as a Nurse, then became a Head of Unit in 2011. I then went on to become Deputy Manager, and I am now the General Manager.
Marple Dale is my second home and I love the environment that we have created. I thrive on making a difference for the residents we support by improving their quality of life.
I am very passionate about my role and I will always give my full support and understanding to my team, residents and their loved ones.
Hi, my name is Sarah and I am the Deputy Manager and Clinical lead here at Marple Dale. My role includes supporting the manager in any way I can and ensuring that we provide the best possible care and meet all the required for our residents. Prior to joining the team in 2019 I have been a sister in acute medicine for many years”
Hi, my name is Kerry and I am the Head of Unit on the nursing/residential floor at Marple Dale. I have been nursing for over 13 years within the care home sector and worked at the home for since 2013. I pride myself on having a real passion for ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered to the residents we care for, and enriching their daily lives by providing person-centered care.
I have been working in the care home sector since 2001. I was an administrator at another Barchester home – Arbour Court – for 2 years, when the home was part of Westminster Healthcare. I then came to Marple Dale as a Senior Administrator before it was owned by Barchester.
Although it is a very busy environment, I do enjoy the challenge of the role. I am here to support the staff and families, mainly in the financial running of the home, and I will always strive to work as hard as I can.
I work very closely with the General Manager and assist wherever I can.
Being part of the Marple Dale family is very rewarding, and I feel lucky to be working in such a beautiful setting.
Hello, my name is Clare Burke, and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Marple Dale. I have been doing this role since April 2018 and I absolutely love it.
Before I started as the Activities Coordinator, I worked as a Carer here and, previous to that, I worked in a nursery as a Nurse.
I love being creative and getting everyone involved in our activities. I have built a good relationship with the residents here and know them very well.
I joined the administration team in July 2003. I love being part of the team and have many years of experience in administration. I have also earned my NVQ Level 2 & 3. I enjoy meeting the residents and their loved ones.
Graham leads a team of maintenance staff who ensure that the building and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
