Following significant investment, The Manor has a brand new look! The appearance of our home has been carefully designed with the people we care for in mind. Our bright new reception area is the perfect spot for socialising or taking part in one of our many daily activities. Our beautiful new dining room is a wonderful place to enjoy a three-course home-made lunch and our new bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Why not take a look at our virtual tour to see our brand new look? Or alternatively, pop in to our home to see for yourself!
The Manor Care Home is situated in beautiful grounds on the edge of Taunton, a pretty market town with a good mix of shops, a range of interesting events and strong transport links.
The Manor Care Home provide first class 24-hour nursing and residential care in a modern purpose-built home. We offer support to older people but also diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitative services to a range of younger adults with complex care needs, including people with tracheostomies, some of whom may require mechanical ventilation due to spinal injury, people with brain injuries or other neurological conditions, people with sensory impairments and people with physical disabilities. Treatment is linked to carefully tailored care planning and regular review. We liaise with local health services to ensure that the best therapies are available to the people we support, and offer a wide and very popular range of activities. As with all Barchester homes, we pride ourselves on the high standards of our cooking, hospitality and housekeeping.
Services at The Manor Care Home are complemented by our assisted living apartments in The Old Manor, a stunning 16th century Grade II listed manor house, for people who do not require residential or nursing care but who need help on hand, perhaps for emergencies or for particular tasks or activities.
We offer an unusually complex range of services, a very high quality of nursing care and care planning and are genuinely committed to supporting families. We are always happy to help with advice, and welcome visitors. Please feel free to ring us or to call in personally for a look round.
