The Manor Care Home in Taunton is situated in beautiful grounds on the edge of this pretty market town, which has a good mix of shops, a range of interesting events and strong transport links.

Our residential Care Home provides first class 24-hour nursing and residential care in a modern purpose-built home. We offer support to older people but also diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitative services to a range of younger adults with complex care needs, including people with tracheostomies, some of whom may require mechanical ventilation due to spinal injury, people with brain injuries or other neurological conditions, people with sensory impairments and people with physical disabilities. Treatment is linked to carefully tailored care planning and regular review. We liaise with local health services to ensure that the best therapies are available to the people we support, and offer a wide and very popular range of activities. As with all Barchester homes, we pride ourselves on the high standards of our cooking, hospitality and housekeeping.

We offer an unusually complex range of services, a very high quality of nursing care and care planning and are genuinely committed to supporting families. We are always happy to help with advice, and welcome visitors. Please feel free to ring us or to call in personally for a look round.

Rebecca Archer

General Manager

Hello and Welcome to The Manor. I am proud to be the new General Manager for home. The Manor is a beautiful place and I have an amazing team of dedicated staff to help and support 24/7.

I came to work at The Manor because I believe that it is a home of excellence and a home where people can come to feel safe; a place where lives are celebrated and enhanced by the quality of service and the highly skilled and qualified staff. Our aim is to empower all residents to live their lives to the full

I qualified from Plymouth University as a registered nurse and have a passion for the care of the elderly as well as dementia and YPD experience. I am a runner-up for the National Dementia Care Awards and have experience running large care homes. On a personal note, I have a son called Thomas who keeps me busy and in my spare time I enjoy writing as well as arts and crafts. My door is open so please feel free to come and see me or my team or give me a call if you have any enquiries or questions about The Manor.
