We attended a free networking event at Hyacinth House on behalf of The Isabel Baker Foundation. We had a wonderful time and made some lovely connections! We were even provided with free hot drinks and breakfast! Kamila was an exceptional host and we look forward to attending more in the future.

I recently held a Make up Workshop for my clients. Hyacinth House very kindly let me use their dining room. It's such a beautiful place. So much more than a care home!
The ladies who attended all agreed that Hyacinth House is so welcoming. Beautiful decor, lovely kind staff & we were served the most amazing coffee & cake!

"My Grandad has attended don't dine alone a couple of times now and has been made to feel very welcome on each visit. The staff are very friendly and made him feel at ease straight away. He was very anxious about going somewhere new but the smile he came out with showed what a wonderful time he'd had. For someone who doesn't get out as much as they used too, this was the highlight of his week. He said the food was delicious and how nice it was to sit and chat to other people again. He even joined in with the activity afterwards.Thank you for giving him such a lovely afternoon."

"Dad stayed at Hyacinth House for two weeks respite care. I cannot praise it highly enough, the staff were wonderful, very caring, compassionate and sensitive to his needs. They encouraged him to join in with the daily activities and eat with other residents in the dining room. Each time I visited I was warmly welcomed and communication from the staff was faultless. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for respite stay."

"I and my daughter Rosalind were most impressed with Hyacinth House from the moment she called in to get a brochure, she was most impressed with the home and the atmosphere of great friendliness, as was I, who met the manager and who the next day came to meet me in my home. My stay of 3 weeks enabled me to get back to sleeping well, which I hadn't been for many months. The staff were outstanding in their professionalism and their very sensitive care was greatly appreciated. I attended some very helpful exercise classes and feel so much stronger because of my stay."

I visited Hyacinth House to see if it would be suitable for my Nanny when we go on holiday – and I was so impressed! Amazing place! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the house itself has such a warm, homely atmosphere. It feels cosy and personal, not too big, which makes it really special. And I almost forgot – they serve great coffee too! 😍

"Another excellent extended respite stay for my mother. During the time we have been using Hyacinth House, Mum's mobility has deteriorated. She now uses a wheelchair and rollator and needs assistance transfering between equipment, getting dressed, washing and toileting, which is all provided by the Hyacinth team with the utmost care and dignity. This is truely a friendly care home where all the team take time to talk with Mum and get to know her visitors. Mum also loves the food her and enjoys the activities and outings. You are all amazing and should be proud of the care provided."

"I have visited Hyacinth House a couple of times with my Community Dog Louis. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and make you feel at home straightaway. The facilities and decor are very homely and I see there is a full programme of visits and activities. The residents all seem happy and well-catered, for with staff approaching several times while I've been visiting to check everyone is alright. I love visiting with Louis as it's such a warm and inviting place"

"Mum moved into Hyacinth House in January 2025 at the age of 95, when her health was failing & she needed more support. Hyacinth House fitted the bill perfectly. It didn't feel like a 'care home' but a real home. The staff were very welcoming to Mum & helped her settle in. They went out of their way to accommodate her every need & to really get to know her. Excellent food & the lounges were very comfortable & mum's family very well supported when they visited. Hyacinth House cared for Mum until the end of her life in May with care & dignity. I couldn't recommend them enough."

"I cannot speak highly enough of hyacinth house! My mum was incredibly happy and well looked after during her time here. The staff were kind, caring, and dedicated, going above and beyond to ensure her needs were met. The manager was truly exceptional - responsive, approachable, and compassionate. She took the time to build a genuine relationship with my mum, which meant the world to us both. Her professionalism and leadership were evident in the way the home was run. I'm so grateful for the care and love hyacinth house provided. If you're looking for a home that truly feels like a home, look no further."

"I am very pleased with Hyacinth House for my mother. She lives there, so has some comments to make herself, but I know she does communicate her needs and constructively critical comments to the relevant folk. The home is more like a hotel to be in to me. The public areas are so comfortable and tastefully furnished. All the staff are welcoming, kind and helpful. I remain very happy for her to be in Hyacinth. Such a shame I am unable to continue caring for her myself. She had known Hyacinth from being in respite, and the transition for her, whilst being sad, does not appear to have been too traumatic when the time came for her to go in permanently. I cannot think of any constructively critical aspect to share at this time. Sadly, she chooses not to engage with the other residents much, or take part in the activities. She is very disabled but completely 'on the ball'....... But I know there are activities and another resident does pop in to visit her daily."

"My parents came to Hyacinth House almost a year ago and have had wonderful care from day one. The home is beautiful and always warm and welcoming. Sadly dad recently passed away and we have felt supported, comforted and reassured during his final weeks and days. Mum has been incredibly well looked after too and has been cared for by all the staff and residents at this difficult time."
