We are so impressed with Hurstwood. From the moment our relative moved in, the staff have been incredible, very welcoming and attentive. They took great care in making sure she felt settled, and they kept us fully informed throughout the process, which is reassuring for the family.
The home itself has a lovely atmosphere and feels like a community rather than just a residence. You can really see how genuinely caring and compassionate the team are. It’s clear they go above and beyond. I feel very relieved to have found such a supportive and nurturing environment for our Aunt. Highly recommend.

My husband has been in Hurstwood view now for 18months. The care he receives there is exceptional in all areas. The general manager is brilliant and always makes time for us as a family. He enjoys the meals and there is always a good variety on offer. We can rest assure that he is in very safe hands. I cannot recommend Hurstwood view enough.

"What can I say this home is just great. All the staff are so friendly & helped my Mum adjust to her restbite for 2 weeks. This was Mum's second restbite here & she has obviously made lots of friends. On her first visit she was a bit anxious but this time she was very happy & relaxed. Which means when we need restbite care it's exactly that we don't have to worry about Mum at all we know she's getting the best care possible."

I visited this Care Home in order to see if it would be a good fit for my mother to move in to. I had visited many Care homes in the area and was left feeling disappointed by the facilities, the smells and the poor upkeep. The Hurstwood team were good enough to give me a guided tour. I was staggered by the difference. The staff were smiling and so were the residents the place feels crisp and new. Their processes and procedures were well thought out and their overall attitude to care was vastly different to other places. Unfortunately my mother passed before I could get her in there but felt that I needed to write this as good business needs to be recognized and celebrated.

"All the staff were kind, attentive and professional, from the manager, nurses and care staff through to the finance/admin team. The home has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and lovely surroundings. Mum's room was spacious, spotless and well equipped. Mum moved to Hurstwood View following a terminal diagnosis and the nursing staff were incredible in their dedication to making her final weeks comfortable and dignified, and as a family we felt fully supported. I would recommend Hurstwood View Care Home wholeheartedly."

My Mum has been in Hurstwood view since before Christmas. It’s been the best move ever. The care is five star as the staff are always ensuring she is happy and comfortable with all her needs being catered for.
She can be a very sociable person so loves being included in all the activities and going out on outings are very special to her.
She really enjoys her food and drink and finds the choices are excellent and varied daily and loves the social part of eating together which reminds her of being on holiday.
Since being at Hurstwood view we can see how much more content she is. She often refers to it as being her home from home which shows us we made the best choice.- Julie Howse

"Hurstwood View is described by dad, 'like a 5 star hotel!'. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, they are all so attentive and genuinely caring, patient and happy at all times. They also give respect to those residents who might just be happy to be in their own company and choose not to always join in the huge range of daily activities available. Mum was also there last year, if only for a few weeks, but at a time when her health was at it's most challenging. The care she received was outstanding, and the care they gave us as a family equally so. 5 stars from us all and many many thanks to everyone!"

"Since resident has been living in Barchester Hurstwood View, 2022, I cannot fault the excellent quality of staff on all levels: compassion, care etc. The home is an extension of our family. "Just everything about Hurstwood worked for my father and family. He moved into Hurstwood Court, the independent living wing, some years ago. The staff in Hurstwood View were wonderful with him. Checking that he was safe. Providing him with increasing levels of support as, and when, he needed it. The option to be involved in as much, or as little, of care home life as he wanted provided him with activities, a social network and always ensured a hot meal was available if he didn't feel like shopping and cooking. After several years in his apartment, he eventually moved into Hurstwood View when it was clear that it was no longer safe for him to live independently. The wonderful staff there continued to look after him for a number of years until he eventually succumbed to his illness and passed. The care, compassion and dignity that all the staff show to all their residents, and their families, is truly wonderful. We are all so grateful to the manager and her team."
