Hi, I’m Nicky and I am the Bank Activities Coordinator here at Hagley Place. I started working for Hagley Place as a volunteer, supporting the Activities Coordinator in 2015. In 2016, I became a member of staff, working two to three days a week.
I have had a varied working career; I’ve worked on a building site, in outdoor education, for the YHA and Field Studies Council, as a shop assistant, a window cleaner, in catering and, lastly, as a primary school teacher. These experiences have enabled me to relate to many different people from a variety of backgrounds and be creative in managing a variety of situations.
I love working with people. I have great admiration for all residents and the things that they have done in their lives. They are all very special individuals and I enjoy every moment I spend with them.
