Hafan-Y-Coed Care Home
Hafan-Y-Coed Care Home in Llanelli
Hafan-Y-Coed Care Home in Llanelli is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac within its own grounds – there are large gardens all around the home and good parking facilities. The home is also accessible by public transport and within walking distance of local shops.
We offer nursing care for older people, including people living with dementia, as well as residential care for people living with dementia, who are supported in our two dedicated Memory Lane Communities. The home is purpose-built and well designed, with a homely feel. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms and we have a lot of reminiscence materials in corridors to help promote discussion. We also have an activities coordinator for every unit within the nursing home, ensuring that people always have something to join in with if they want to. For those who aren't looking for anything long-term, we also provide respite care.
We take pride in the quality of our services, with clean, well maintained rooms and excellent food involving lots of choice. Our staff are well trained and dedicated to their work.

Types of care
The care we provide is delivered in a way that promotes independence for those who live in our home. Where possible, it is important that residents are encouraged to perform daily tasks independently or with minor support. Our services are devised with individualised treatment in mind for each person, so getting to know everyone and understanding their needs is imperative to delivering bespoke, person-centred care.

Sarah Morgan
Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am the General Manager here at Hafan-Y-Coed. Welcome to our website!
I am a Registered Nurse with a wealth of knowledge and experience within the nursing/care home sector. I have worked at Hafam-Y-Coed for years, starting as a carer.
I then pursued a nursing degree and worked as a nurse on our dementia community, before becoming a Unit Manager. I assumed the post of Deputy Manager in 2019 and General Manager in January 2021, and I am a fantastic hands-on nurse.
