Fairview House Care Home in Aberdeen
Fairview House is conveniently located close to plenty of local amenities and is within each reach of the beautiful Dee and Don countryside. Our purpose-built home provides 24-hour nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff work hard to ensure Fairview House is not an establishment, but a home, with high quality care centred around the specific needs of each resident.
Dementia Care
The home's specialist Memory Lane Community utilises a careful blend of skills and techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, incorporating person-centred design in its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home, whilst thoughtful interior design features, such us adapted crockery and tableware assists with reminiscence. Communities are broken up into separate units with a family feel so people can feel safe and comfortable. Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.
Our high standards are reflected in all aspects of the home, including our hospitality and cooking. The home also has a wonderful and varied activities programme, centred around the needs and interests of residents. We provide concerts and church services every month and have daily programmes of activities, such as bingo, crafts, a beauty group and gardening. We also frequently go to coffee mornings in our local community and have regular outings in our minibus.
We believe the best way to judge a home is to visit and see how care and support is provided. So please feel free to drop in or give us a call.

Arlene Campbell
Hi, my name is Arlene, and I am the General Manager here at Fairview House. Welcome to our website!
I have 20 years of nursing experience. I trained in Glasgow as an RGN and continued my studies at night school for 2 years to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies. I also worked as a Sister for the NHS in an intensive care unit.
I have been managing nursing homes since 2007, ranging over the years from a 98 bedded home In New Zealand and a 64 bedded home in Argyll to a 54 bedded home in Aberdeenshire and a 30 bedded home in Edinburgh.
I pride myself in helping staff to deliver positive outcomes for residents by ensuring they have the skills to work autonomously, which will ensure that all staff are proud to work at Fairview House.
