Hi, my name is Arlene, and I am the General Manager here at Fairview House. Welcome to our website!
I have 20 years of nursing experience. I trained in Glasgow as an RGN and continued my studies at night school for 2 years to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies. I also worked as a Sister for the NHS in an intensive care unit.
I have been managing nursing homes since 2007, ranging over the years from a 98 bedded home In New Zealand and a 64 bedded home in Argyll to a 54 bedded home in Aberdeenshire and a 30 bedded home in Edinburgh.
I pride myself in helping staff to deliver positive outcomes for residents by ensuring they have the skills to work autonomously, which will ensure that all staff are proud to work at Fairview House.
Hi, my name is Helen, and I am the deputy manager here at Fairview.
Hi, my name is Karen, and I am the administrator here at Fairview House.
Hi, my name is Stacey, and I am a nurse here at Fairview House.
My name is Mohan and I am the Head of Maintenance at Fairview House. I have been working at Fairview since 2015 and I have gained a lot of experience during my time here. I am very happy working for Barchester; my manager is very knowledgeable and supportive. We are a happy team and always help each other out.
My daily duties include preparing and cooking wholesome, nutritious, well-balanced and tasty meals for residents. I have learned how to create many local dishes since starting here, including skirlie, mince and tatties!
My name is Jim Douglas and I have been a resident at Fairview House since 2015. I really enjoy my relationships with staff and residents and the overall atmosphere at Fairview.
I was appointed as Resident Ambassador in 2017, with my purpose being to open a dialogue between residents and management, with the intent of improving residents' overall well-being at the home.
Hi, I’m Maureen, and I have been the Physiotherapist at Fairview House since 2014. My role as Physiotherapist is very important for enabling our residents to remain active and for rehabilitation after injuries or illnesses to restore function. I assess all new residents at Fairview House to ensure that we have a keen understanding of their walking ability, balance strength, posture and function. I also run the 'Music & Movement' weekly class along with the activity staff and residents.
