Sarah Kelly
Hi, my name is Sarah and I am General Manager here at Chester Court. Welcome to our website!
Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.
Prior to starting in this position I was a general manager and peripatetic manager supporting care services in south Tyneside and Nottinghamshire, and have worked in care for over 20 years. I have worked and managed a range of services from learning disabilities, mental health, residential, nursing and dementia and challenging behaviour services
I look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Ann Ducat
My name is Ann and I joined Chester Court in 2004. I love my job; it's busy but never boring! My role is to support the General Manager by maintaining administration and financial systems within the home in accordance to the company policies and procedures.
Dawn Thompson
I am the Head Chef at Chester Court Care Home and have been part of the catering department for over 15 years. My role involves preparing nutritious and well-balanced meals for everyone we support. All of our food is home-cooked with fresh ingredients.
Scott Dawson
I have worked at Chester Court since 2011 and have loved every minute. I spent 15 years in the building trade before coming to Chester Court Care Home, so I have a wide range of skills that are always being used.
My job is to keep the home and grounds looking their best, making sure each room is as individual as the residents' themselves.

Lauren Corbett
Hi, my name is Lauren and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Chester Court. I joined the team in December 2020 and bring a wealth of enthusiasm to the role. I have just graduated from university in July 2020 and have previously completed work experience at another Barchester home. During this work experience I discovered how meaningful and important activities are for residents and how they can help enhance resident’s lives. Therefore, I decided to become an activities coordinator myself as I feel this is such a rewarding role.
I love working with our Residents here at the home and getting to know them and their families so that I can deliver and support in meaningful activities, keeping them socially stimulated and active as part of our extensive life enrichment calendar. The lifestyle and continued community links are also important.

Joanne Ritchie
Hi, my name is Joanne Ritchie and I am Head of Housekeeping here at Chester Court and I have a team of domestics working alongside myself. I joined the team in April 2022 and bring with me a wealth of experience having worked previously at our sister home as a Housekeeper.
I enjoy working in the housekeeping team, talking to residents and making sure their rooms are clean and tidy. I want to help residents remain as independent as possible. I work hard to ensure that the home maintains Barchester’s high standards and that they work to create a relaxed, personal atmosphere for residents, relatives and staff.
